Breast enlargements aside I've always thought that C cup were the average or most common size breast.

My recent "internet research" is finding that more women (celebs mainly) are declaring themselves as a B cup.

Does anyone have any information about common breast sizes?

TIA

People are getting taller (and in some countries in particular fatter). Average sizes have gone up from 34B to 36C over the last two decades - some countries even higher (again, please notice which countries - there's a correlation with the average weight).

I don’t know. I don’t have them and wouldn’t know more than what your internet search already told you.

Thing about bras and sizes is that every country has its own standard of measurement. Each brand has its own sizing model. Heck, different cut/materials can change a cup size/band size.

Celebrities are a great deal thinner than the average woman. Studios and the public demand a specific body type. The breast implant frenzy of the late 90s/early 00s has fortunately faded out of popularity.

Do celebrities announce cup size? I can see that information being out there for fashion designers/costumers, but not general release.

There is also a thing called vanity sizing. The jeans purchased at a size 6 in 2020 were a size 8/10 about ten years ago.

Oh yeah I have no idea what I am in US sizing which is actually positive for the purse strings when I see a bra ad on Instagram.

And I'm very picky with bras too because of the exact things you mentioned re shape and material.

Between no sizing standards and smoll/faux pockets the fashion industry is trying to break women down. Rise up! Reject Trends! Embrace yoga pants and hoodies!!

100% hoodies. I don't think I've ever worn yoga or stretchy pants out unless it's under a short dress of sorts.

I don't think you'd fine a single woman who would give a rat's ass what the average bust size was.

I knew early on I wasn't average. And if anything it made me more self conscious than anything else.

All I care about is that a shirt fits.

I would say a c is about average and ideal. I'm kinda stuck at B+ though ;)

I kind of agree but also disagree. I knew I was bigger than average by the 8th grade and like you said I was mega self conscious about it. Nicknames. Hella self conscious but also very aware what average was.

When we were younger my sister was flatter than a pancake, and I had lots and lots of curves. I was so jealous of her and she of me. We felt the universe had played an awful joke on both of us because I was such a tomboy and she was the essence of femininity. I used to tease how prissy she was, and she was chastise me for being so base.

So I guess when you're talking averages then between us we were average.

Having a single cup size as ideal negates all the variables of women’s proportions.
A C looks ample on me, but would look small on someone with a larger frame, more body fat, broader shoulders, etc etc.

As I understand it, cup size is X larger than rib cage measurements, which necessarily includes whatever amount of flesh covers the ribs, muscle and fat.
I also understand it only matters for buying a bra.

Same here. I still get self conscious, not because of my size, but just because I compare myself to other women and their seemingly better looking breasts lol. It's something I'm trying to overcome.

Oh Sweetie, I still do the same thing. I see a beautiful woman with a slim built and perfect breasts, and I get envious of her ability to wear that! If I were brave enough I would have gone all the way down to a C cup, but I was afraid of how I would have handled it. I've always been big. I just didn't want to be as big. My surgeon and I agreed on a D cup. Perfect. Now I'm DD :(

I might end up knockouting myself running...
Lol @ running. I dunno for sure i think it was @EllieP that said "if you see me running, you should run too" or something and it is the truest thing ever said.
