I had D cups in high school and went to a DD when I was in my 20s, too. When I turned 37 I was saddled with G cups. Next month I am anxiously awaiting going back to a D, hopefully! Surgery is approved, and I can hardly wait. My doctor says that my shoulders and neck will experience immediate relief.

Wishing you the best of luck with your upcoming reduction surgery. Be sure to keep some of us posted about it!

A female friend of mine had a huge increase in bust size when she hit around 20. She says it was because she was on birth control pills. That would certainly affect the hormone levels (as has been cited here) but I don't know if that's the main cause.

That's interesting actually. I am currently not on the pill but was for about 6 years. When I went off them however they started to get bigger and still are I think.

My wife was a 36B when we started dating. She was 18. She lived a few hours away so I saw here every few weekends at first. One weekend I went down and she was kissing me and slipped her shirt off and I was like "Whoa" I said, "Babe, your boobs look bigger" Sure enough, she kept growing and was pouring out of her B cups in no time. She filled out the C Cup well and despite losing weight for the wedding, we a full full full C when we got married. Before we had her first child, she was a small D, she went up to a full DD after baby was born and settled back to a small D afterwards. So from a B to a small D from 18-22. So yes, it can happen!

I've been wondering if the change in my bust is all in my head. It does make sense that with changing hormone levels, our busts could increase as well. My weight has been mostly consistent in my mid 20's (I take my measurements too) and my cup size has increased maybe a half cup. I refuse to go up from a DD. I thought maybe it was flax seeds, rosemary, or something else that can have secondary effects on the body. But now that I think about it, I didn't get acne until I hit 25 and my chest changed around the same time. I'd like a remedy for both problems. le sigh.
