Okay kids, the markets are way down. If you have any liquidity at all now is a good time to pick up some good buys.

Here's a good question ...

"...The question of who rules over you is an elemental, central component of having a democratic republic. Treating Brexit like it's just some complicated but very broad referendum is ignoring the nature of the question behind it. If British citizens shouldn't get to vote whether to be in the European Union because they don't "understand" all the issues involved, then why should they even get to vote on their legislators? Indeed, why have them vote at all?"

Who Rules Over You?’ Is Democracy’s Most Important Question

So what's your point?

That the 18 incidents listed SO far in the six years beginning in 2010, though already nearly EQUAL to incidents from the three decades prior ('80's, '90's, and 2000's) isn't as bad as the turmoil of the 60's and 70's struggle for Civil Rights? YET??

Or IS the argument that such incidents of turmoil aren't unprecedented ("look at the 60's and 70's") so the idea of "Taking America Back" (to those days) shouldn't be cause for much concern?

The sky is not falling..

Never said it was.

What I HAVE said and suggested is that the rather blasé regard some (such as yourself) have for developments that SHOULD be of greater concern can result in what has happened in the UK, and maybe worse.

I'd guess the degree to which we, as individuals, ARE concerned depends on one's own point of view...

... IF not an agenda or two therein.

Speaking of "liquidities", here in the USA? Last I checked at my local store, Bass Ale
was at $7.47 a 6pac, out of stock ..and New Castle was $12.77 for a half rack(12 pac)

Not falling - yet ;)

Standard and Poor's, just lile Fitch already have down rated Britain.
American Banks will leave London
Easyjet announced that they wont invest in Britain anymore, but focus on the EU.
China has nearly stoped its investments in Britain.
In general have international investments in Britain dropped... and this might could even increase

It will increase. If a stock broker hears someone sneeze, it's an evil omen and stocks must be dumped immediately! Seriously, Deer have more spine than you'll find anywhere in an investment bank. We won't know what Brexit truly means for the UK for at least another month. Don't set your hair on fire just yet. If you own stocks, this is a really bad time to start selling them... be a good time to buy though...

Markets not looking bad today. FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 are up quite a lot. The pound has appreciated somewhat. We're not yet back to the levels of a week ago (before the markets decided that there was going to be a Remain vote and surged) but we're not that far off.

I don't like the S&P downgrade, but in fairness it was coming. The other two big agencies had already downgraded.

What we need asap is a clear prospect of election of a Conservative leader with a plan, probably Theresa May. The markets will love a plan.

Any timetable is better than none.

Article 50 end of Sept - then 2 years negotiations. At least that will give them something concrete to go on. :)

That was by far one of the most amazing things i've seen regarding politics...in my whole entire life. I'll admit my general ignorance when it comes to the EU and the UK in general but that...that was an amazing display right there. I wonder just how long that guy is gonna keep this up. And i also wonder just how long the UK will allow him to drag them through the mud. Ohh boy is this going to get interesting. I mean the poor and middle class are fucked of course but i'm interested in seeing how this goes regarding the rich. Damn, don't even have any popcorn.
