I've actually got the cellular ones, as white briefs, and black boxers, and yes, certainly a welcome relief in weather like we have been having here.I am jealous of you being close to a factory store! Have you tried their Sea Island Cotton briefs? Ridiculous price and amazing feeling cotton, nothing like it! I have them in white and black. If you have not tried their cellular mesh briefs, you should. Nice breathable mesh without the look of creepy, voyeurs underwear.

He was on grindr and I am close to base. He wanted some time away from base.
You know, I have had a fantasy for years, living not all that far from a military base. It's very simple; word gets out that there's a room in my house that is open to any military personnel who can reserve it. They can come into a bedroom with a computer for porn and spend an hour or two away from the pressures of the base just beating off to their hearts content. It'd be a form of gratitude for the soldiers, and boy would they also feel grateful once they'd shot their loads and returned to base. I'd want no payment for this; it'd just be enough to know they were getting off and having a little private for a brief respite. I had fun, tho' imagining the logistics, since they'd want be discreet; I'd have to arrange it so the departing soldier went out one door and next dude came in a different door a few moments later.
I know several friends who have switched from boxerbriefs to briefs now. At least briefs are in their rotation

I know the same about a couple of friends, too.
And I am glad this thread reappeared because in the last few weeks I have seen very obvious briefs lines on two young men, one who was wearing white gym shorts (on a rather cold day) with colored briefs underneath. He had to have known that they were showing so obviously (assuming he looked in a mirror).

I agree that jockstraps are great for athletics and sports. Compression shorts did not exist back in the day so that is what we all wore, even for PE. But I would not want to wear a jockstrap for my regular underwear.
I had to find the right pairs, but I find they give superior support if you like that. I don't like boxers mostly because the lack of support (gravity took over for me with my balls) and they bunch up under tight pants. I usually opt for briefs but also wear trunks/boxer briefs as well.
I don't wear tight pants, so I like the commando feel of boxers. My balls are usually tight, so no concerns there either.
LOL, I actually bought a ball weight last week, but I'm not looking for anything extreme.
Diesel, I think an older one.. never seen a diesel like that, ever.

Def feels like a lot of guys more and more are having briefs be a bigger focus in their underwear collection, whether they say it publicly or not. If they were not selling well in todays market you could bet companies would not be making them as much as they are.
The last few summers guys have been wearing shorter shorts where boxers or even long boxer briefs would hang out of the leg, so I'm guessing at least some of those guys are wearing briefs.
There are so many more brands and types of briefs now someone has to be buying them so I suspect they are more common than some of us may think. My partner wears briefs and says they are more comfortable. He just does the basic black/gray/navy colored ones.

I have to think boxer briefs are the majority choice, which is ok but not great. Real men wear briefs.

For me, I'm more concerned about picking the right tool for the job way of thinking, so I'm not exclusively in one type of underwear.... to sort of quote the previous poster, REAL MEN choose the right tool for the job, and not let fashion dictate what they choose.
I currently have a mix of traditional woven Boxer, Boxer-Brief, Brief, Trunk, and Jocks (Bike #10 style), from the likes of Uniqlo, Sunspel, EMP, Jockmail, and Meyer (EU's distro agent for Bike, before they started doing their own #10 variant).
In warmer months, I for reasons I have never quite worked out why, I have a bit of a sweat issue (Nothing worse than having a sweaty crotch!), so summer months have always been a bit of an issue for me, so previously, I went more Briefs / Jocks, noting the physical job I do, and to this day, have a number of Bike #10 style Jocks, and some Briefs from Sunspel.
Prior to this, I would go more Brief / Trunk cut and Jocks styles from C-in2 / Obviously.
This past year however, I have come across Uniqlo's AIRism range (Their HeatTech range looks good too for Winter..... I need some Long Johns as it happens), which are made up of Boxer, plus long and short trunk styles (I went for their No Show Trunk and standard Trunk sorts), and these have been an absolute god send, certainly so in Summer months.
Just a shame they don't do AIRism in a Brief cut (Uniqlo do stock Briefs, but they are just the basic cotton sort), as I feel in Summer months, they'd be the best pick of the bunch.
