Briefs Coming Back Into Favour ?

I was watching live with Kelly Ripa earlier this week and she had co host Christian Slater. He was playing a charades-like guessing game and his cropped sweater lifted up continually and he kept showing of the waistband of Calvin Klein signature briefs. They sat too low to be boxer briefs or boxers... and I doubt they were trunks either.

In sixty years I don't remember them being out of favor. Tighty whities and baggy old boxers have been the main stay of underwear forever.

They must be getting real popular with the prices I have seen lately.
In Kohl's recently I saw an 8 pack of Fruit of the Loom White briefs for $36.

But briefs are sometimes to tight

I just wish they'd come back with proper sizing options like a bra does. We should be able to order our underwear in 32A or 32DD, or 40B, 34C..... Underwear needs to offer cup sizes & it wouldn't be bad if you could have a butt cup size too. Imagine if underwear actually fit comfortably...

While I enjoy this photo, a brief like that - the only name that ever comes to mind for me is "panty". I need more structure or seems, etc. on men's underwear.
