Brisbane to Sydney??

My partner and I will be in Brisbane on March 20,21, and want o go to Sydney as our flight leaves Aus from there. Planning on renting a car, driving to Sydney, spending two nights on the road. Can anyone suggest nice accommodations on the way? We plan to stay in Sydney Wed, Thurs, Fri night, Flying out on Sat 27 March.

Can anyone suggest a nice hotel or B&B in Sydney? NOT TOO PRICEY!

We are both in our forties, so close too nightlife is not necessary.

Byron Bay is about 2 hours drive south of Brisbane on the NSW north coast. For this reason it may not fit neatly your itinerary as an overnight stop, but it would be high on my list of places to see for its physical beauty and interesting lifestyles. The town attracts millionaires, artists, and bohemians alike. Nimbin is a half hour drive west of Byron; a crazy mix of very hard working permaculture farmers, and very lazy druggies.

Both places are "Googleable"
