What a lovely surprise to by chance find this thread for one my favorite actors, James Norton. He had me as Sydney in Grantchester and scared me as Tommy in Happy Valley. His performance range is exceptional in my opinion. I am constantly searching for his new work and still catching up on his early film and television career. Cheers!

Yes, agree with the range. He can play royalty (Prince Andrei) to a serial rapist, drug offender, murderer Tommy (Happy Valley). All these while still oozing with sex appeal. His Grantchester and McMafia performances are so sexy without him even trying.

The original Dutch production of the play he's doing in London next year (A Little Life) involved nudity for his character and it's the same director. Sadly there's little about it that's erotic due to all the violence and abuse involved (unless you're completely sick).

not every actor is convincing though, especially with something as difficult as emulating a completely different gender expression.
