How very dare you!!!!

The only place on the planet that really knows how to make a banger is Lincolnshire.

I agree about crisp sarnies. Paste and crisp butties were the staple of my school lunch - yum!

ps - Dong..... 'just my regular floppy' is about my favourite pic on this site, just thought I'd let you know

Pasty and mushy peas is decent.

Pea and ham soup is great (dunno if its strictly British).

Black peas are great.

But WAIT, I do actually like other things besides peas.

Chicken is great, roast etc. Steak and peppercorn sauce. The only British foods I dont like are hotpot and Potato Hash cos I don't like onions.

Fry up/Full English is good after a big night out too.

Crumpets are good too, especially with some of that Italian cheese thing you can get now, sprinkled on top. Its like cheese powder in a tube. Very nice.

Broth and dumplings is great too. Even though I don't like onions I eat them in that because its all so good.

My cousin and I used to eat brown/red sauce butties...I dunno why. Just to annoy my mum I spose, cos she hates sauces.

Now you are promoting cannibalism - What a fucking liberty!
Mother and I have been coming to this forum for 25yrs. And just because a woman likes to get her lips around a big chunk of meat you imply she might be a cannibal. I've never been so insulted!

Me dear, cannibal dear, no dear!

Sorry - I know you weren't talking to me, but I couldn't resist!

And they're about my favourite British Banger, or a nice spicy Cumberland ring. Fnarr Fnarr! Daverock, I can feel you smirking....

Bang it in a bun with some onions and ketchup - yum! lol

Hmmm, sauce, bun bangin and condiments, truly the approach of one who knows her....bangers.

I swear it was the thought of Jody's legs, err I mean lips. It went to my head and left me little choice other than resorting to Viz speak.:biggrin1:

Hmmm.... so basically, you've never been here have you

It's nothing to do with beans on toast, I think the rest of us moved on from that days ago! lol

I am happy that people have moved on from legumes in tomato sauce slathered on charred bread.

So what does my discriminating palette have to do with being in England?

Just that you were open about not being impressed with our food, but it appears you've never even tried it. I just found it quite funny that's all

I am impressed with British cuisine like the creative dishes Eddyabs said that he has cooked. Those sound very delicious.

It is funny that I don't care to eat beans on toast? Well, it is my loss and your gain. More for you, Dee. Nosh away.

I like the fish and chips.
Shepherds Pie. Mincemeat pies. The tea ceremony. The puddings are great. (Except blood pudding. I don't think so.)

Yeah, I don't like a lot of stuff food-wise. No matter where the recipe originated.

You're really hung up with beans on toast.... I'm not talking about that. You've made other comments about British cooking, and I was just saying that I thought that odd, considering that you haven't been here and tried it, that's all!!
