Am I the only one who thought she looked healthy/normal and not obsessive/gym-pumped/hyperdysmorphic ?
She's a mother of two toddlers, for gawd's sake.
However...her lip-synch was terrible, she seemed disoriented and confused. The performance was so unprofessional as to be almost shocking until you consider that her talent was always of the slenderest sort to begin with.
No, lot of people on the MTV site have said the same about her figure. Thing is we're used to seeing her with the rock hard abs and she has had 2 kids. That costume was not sized or cut properly for her current figure. It made her tummy look pot-bellied when it really isn't (yet).
Her performance was a complete joke and a scathing indictment of the music industry. This empress had no clothes in more ways than one. Apparently she spent the both nights there partying until after midnight. She didn't rehearse at all. Yet there was the dutiful audience applauding away when they should have booed her off the stage. It's such a joke. Who has to worry about payola when the companies that own the performers, write their songs, and make their CDs are the same ones that own the TV stations and radio outlets? And they're worried about why their music isn't selling? Howabout rather than busting little old ladies and college students they actually look for and produce talented performers?
Britney, like so many others these days, has never been anything more than a face and studio-produced voice with some dancing talent. The less talent a performer has, the easier they are to manage. Where they going go? Performers like Britney are a dime a dozen. Go off the rails, turn 30, or get too cocky and you get dumped for some other tight assed ingenue who can follow dance steps. It's the 60s girl groups all over again. Last night was a last ditch effort by her producers to salvage their investment. No such luck. Bye Brit!
White trash like Britney aren't bright enough to write a lyric much less know what they're getting into. She saw bright lights, dollar signs, and she was on her way completely unaware of the vicious business she was getting into. I feel sorry for her in some ways even though she's likely crying all the way to the bank. Best thing to do is pack it in and retire to some little island somewhere to raise her kids and hire a ghostwriter to do a tell-all book. She's never belonged on a stage but last night should be the nail in the coffin of her career. If she's got any gray matter left she'll walk away.
