Hell I thought it was a out of shape belly dancing songs. By the way her GUT was shaking. I thought it was one of those get in shape videos. lol. She looked drugged up rode hard and not rubbed down and put away ......

Am I the only one who thought she looked healthy/normal and not obsessive/gym-pumped/hyperdysmorphic ?

She's a mother of two toddlers, for gawd's sake.

However...her lip-synch was terrible, she seemed disoriented and confused. The performance was so unprofessional as to be almost shocking until you consider that her talent was always of the slenderest sort to begin with.

It is pretty depressing to see somebody's life just unraveling in front of your eyes - Britney, Anna Nicole etc - all celebs who you know aint gonna make it to retirement age - unfortunately you can add a load more to that list

True, there are many other young actors that do just fine. They just coast under the radar while the Lindsay's, Paris' and Britney's hog the media spotlight.

It seems people love when a young celebrity breaks out and soars to hights of success, but then to love it even more when they stumble, crash and burn.

I read that SHE opted out of the "matching corset" that was the other part of the costume right before the act. She must've been high or something, feel sorry for her... I also feel sorry that she has to sing that piece of shit. She's gonna have some neurological disorder like Ali because of it.

Poor women. I really do feel bad for her.

She is obviously uncomfortable wearing what she was, but after 2 kids she still looks pretty good. And after all the bad press and hard times she had who could blame her for being so awkward in front of a crowd knowing once again she is going to be judged. I wouldnt even attempt to get up on that stage so good oh her.. At least she's trying

No, lot of people on the MTV site have said the same about her figure. Thing is we're used to seeing her with the rock hard abs and she has had 2 kids. That costume was not sized or cut properly for her current figure. It made her tummy look pot-bellied when it really isn't (yet).

Her performance was a complete joke and a scathing indictment of the music industry. This empress had no clothes in more ways than one. Apparently she spent the both nights there partying until after midnight. She didn't rehearse at all. Yet there was the dutiful audience applauding away when they should have booed her off the stage. It's such a joke. Who has to worry about payola when the companies that own the performers, write their songs, and make their CDs are the same ones that own the TV stations and radio outlets? And they're worried about why their music isn't selling? Howabout rather than busting little old ladies and college students they actually look for and produce talented performers?

Britney, like so many others these days, has never been anything more than a face and studio-produced voice with some dancing talent. The less talent a performer has, the easier they are to manage. Where they going go? Performers like Britney are a dime a dozen. Go off the rails, turn 30, or get too cocky and you get dumped for some other tight assed ingenue who can follow dance steps. It's the 60s girl groups all over again. Last night was a last ditch effort by her producers to salvage their investment. No such luck. Bye Brit!

White trash like Britney aren't bright enough to write a lyric much less know what they're getting into. She saw bright lights, dollar signs, and she was on her way completely unaware of the vicious business she was getting into. I feel sorry for her in some ways even though she's likely crying all the way to the bank. Best thing to do is pack it in and retire to some little island somewhere to raise her kids and hire a ghostwriter to do a tell-all book. She's never belonged on a stage but last night should be the nail in the coffin of her career. If she's got any gray matter left she'll walk away.

I watched the show on youtube as the mtv awards have not viewed here yet in Oz, and all I can think of is how sorry she looked and so unsure of what she was actually supposed to do. There was no passion in the moves, no fierce determination in her eyes and just.....no thought or even want of being there on the stage and doing what she wanted on the night. Britney looked like a poor deer being caught in the headlights with nowhere else to go but straight into the oncoming trainwreck that is the last threads of her career.

Agreed 100%. Go back to Louisiana, raise your kids and try again in 7-10 years, if you still have the shit, Brit...

Otherwise, take Jason's age advice and go for the book deal.

I agree with you 100%.

She looks good, her body is fine.. and much better than most women with 2 toddlers born so close together. I imagine she's had some surgical intervention along the way to help with that, but she doesn't look bad at all.

However, the outfit was terrible and her performance was even worse. She looked like she was fucked up on something, and the fact that she had very little talent to begin with anyway made it a complete disaster.

You're not the only one - I thought she looked fine. Obviously not as in good a shape as she was before, but it was nowhere near as bad as the media would like us to believe.

I'll bet ya most mothers-of-two would like to look like her.

The reaction of the people in the audience was well worth it, however. Seeing 50 Cent/Curtis Jackson's jaw drop at her awful performance made me piss my pants.
