Any thoughts on the theory that men are afraid of other men and hence the POWER of bromance is increased because that "competitor" is actually being loving (not even sexual)? Bromance is a very particular kind of emotion, I find. It's not like love between a man and a woman, and it needn't be sexual. It's more an affair of the heart: i.e., I've found someone who's like me in so many ways I want to embrace him.
