You may live with your delusions.
I hope you enjoy them.
Fantasy does serve a purpose when reality does not meet your needs.

I'm sure in your reality, you are king and nobody else can compare.
But on a board like this, realities collide and it's up to the intellectual to put aside their nearsighted viewpoints and see the world from the scope of others. I've seen too many people of your ilk in my lifetime, and you all wallow in the same ignorance as the last. Contrary to what you believe, I'm more than sure I've walked similar paths as you. The problem is, you willingly ignore other people's "reality" which makes you cerebally incapable to take seriously, or discuss important matters. You're not telling me anything that another lonely, disgruntled forum troll hasn't told me before.

My life may seem like a delusion to you, but right now you're the on demanding answers to questions and nobody (including myself) have any interest in answering them. Perhaps if only one person was doing this, you could have some relevance to your spiteful claims. But since you've now intellectually insulted 6 or 7 people at once and they all have virtually given you the finger, wouldn't it be safe to say that nobody gives a shit as to where you place yourself in this discussion? Wouldn't it also be accurate to suggest that you overvalue your importance, credibility and worth on this board as a sensible, thought provoking contributor?

Nobody here needs to help you validate your bigotry. So stop presenting these inane questions that lead to nowhere, you socially ignorant hack. Now please... follow your already tiresome & predictable script and respond to me in your usually tripe fashion. I may not be Pavlov, but I certainly got a mutt like you trained to respond.

Exactly. It'll be interesting to see when people like Pitifulbull finds himself in a situation where he gets sick, his insurance denies him coverage (or fails to pay any significant share of his treatments), and either doesn't have enough money or no job to pay for it. Imagine when he's told to "stop being lazy and work harder" how he'll react to it.

Are there no prisons?

Are there no workhouses?

Maybe we should just have all of the poor and indigent people double ground and fed to the rich?

That ain't the first time the idea has been put forth. Johnathan Swifts' A Modest Proposal is a good fleshing out of the idea.

I guess you do not realize that the government spends more in administration of its health care programs than the insurance companies do.

Which of course could be spent on doctors or medicine.
I invite you to prove it.

(this should be fun)

Looks like everyone (as usual) avoided the question I posed.

Typical liberal bullshit.
Whine and cry.
When someone disagrees with you they are stupid and heartless.
Then you demand that the government gives everyone everything they need.
This is why there is a problem with health care.
Whining, calling people stupid while holding themselves up as geniuses.
With no understanding of what they are talking about and no expertise.
And no desire to see things in anyway except with a preconceived narrow mindset while claiming to be open minded.

I am not the least bit surprised.
Yes, you're right... Healthcare in this country is broken, because America just refuses to listen to its all-knowing, all-seeing Rightwing Overlords™...

One question though, what in the fuck did the Republicans do to fix the problem while they held the White House for 20 of the past 28 years? Nothing... of course, why would the Republicans try to fix a problem that they created in the first place? (under Nixon).

Everyone just "whines and cries" according to you... (on an aside, I'm sorry, but isn't that what people do when they are sick, dying, and being driven to bankruptcy by greedy sociopaths who insist on making a killing (literally) withholding care from people who paid for the service to be there when they needed it?)... People dying of cancer are such fucking pussies. They should just shut up and die... preferably out of sight and out of mind of the sociopathic Rightwing Overlords™ who denied them the life saving care that they paid for.

Yes, every one should just sit down, shut up, keep obediently paying our sociopathic Rightwing Overlords™ for the privilege to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The Constitution wasn't written for all Americans, just the radical rightwing ones, who then decide which 'rights' the rest of us are born with, and which 'rights' we have to pay a hefty profit margin to get access to.

America is completely wasting its time looking to Republicans or even 'bi-partisanship' for a solution to our healthcare woes, because the Republicans are never, ever going to give a shit. They created the problem, they have perpetuated and worsened the problem, and now they are doing everything they can to make the problem last as long as possible so that they can profit from the misfortunes of others as long as possible, before society finally forcibly shuts them down.

Frankly, I continue to hope that peaceful reform, arrived at through the legislative process continues to fail... I can't wait to see the look of utter horror on the faces of our sociopathic Rightwing Overlords™ when the country is shut down due to widespread rioting in a few years, and its their homes and businesses that are looted and burned down.

That's because you don't know how to read or think outside of yourself.
Are you through or do I have to continue slapping you around? You should know by now that I take sadistic pride in intellectually beating around philosophical lightweights like you.
You're wasting your time. He literally doesn't care and will never care. In fact, he's probably incapable of caring. I didn't really realize what a nut this guy is until I read through his post history for a while just now...

Something to keep in mind is that a lot of these adamant rightwinger types you run into online have personality disorders (anti-social personality disorder, bipolar, borderline, dissociative, etc). Not that the general public online doesn't as well, but research has consistently shown over time that rightwingers have these disorders at a rate triple the general population.

Do you know how to cite sources?

Cuz the TallpaGut Book of Facts doesn't interest anyone here.

I know what you're saying.
I learned back in the old birther threads that Pitifulbull comes into debates with his mind already made up and will refuse any answer he receives that doesn't add up to the conclusion he already construed. Unfortunately for our beloved troll-mutt, he has this nasty habit of talking down to me as if I'm supposed to blindly accept and obey whatever he deduces and I tend not to treat people with such an authoritarian viewpoint too kindly. He's a very self-centered, narrow minded, hard-headed individual that thinks nobody understands his viewpoints when someone doesn't engage him with the pointless questions he raises. I'm sure he's still waiting for someone to tell him "how much an insurance company should charge a person with a preexisting condition" so he can call him (or her) a bunch of decorative names for "uneducated" and say how out of touch they are with "reality". And he'll be waiting a LONG time too.

Plus, he hates letting people get the last word. Unfortunately for him, I don't have a problem making sure that he never gets it either. Even I know that it's overrated to be the "better man" sometimes.

This morning on CNBC Warren Buffett said that we need to 'couch' healthcare as a national emergency.

He went on to say that the primary problem with healthcare is that costs are based on procedures and not results, and that we won't fix the problem with a 2400 page bill that attempts to please everybody and all 'private groups.'

He also indicated that if executed properly, we should be moving towards 13 or 14% of GDP instead of moving higher (currently we are at approx. 17%)

At the time of this post, a link wasn't available yet on CNBC's website.

It is beyond obvious that this mad dash at a bill is losing more support by the day.

From your link, Indy:

When asked if he would vote for the healthcare bill currently before the Senate, Buffett said that he would take the bill over the status quo, but he would really like to see a bill that is focused on reducing cost.

"We've got to bring cost per capita down," Buffett said.

I believe the point that Buffett makes is this:

Essentially the government is already paying for the cost of the uninsured - as most need to use the emergency room as their primary doctor.

That being said, why do we need to rob Medicare of $500 billion and tax the public another $500 billion to $1 trillion to implement this new bill?

Between current healthcare costs and costs incurred by the uninsured - shouldn't a new and improved system be able to reduce the cost of healthcare by adding new efficiencies and standards?

We are already paying more than everyone else, have less beds/patient and less doctors/patient than other developed countries. So why are we keeping those low ratios and adding still more costs????

There was an doctor on CNN late last week that said that a patient comes in - and essentially they perform one test which the patient needs, and three other tests simply to keep in the file so that they don't get sued. Four tests instead of one - a quadrupling of cost to avoid lawsuits.

Looks like you are the only one trying to have a serious discussion here.

Everyone else seems intent on bashing me and cannot even attempt to have a discussion. Maybe their minds are already made up before they got here.
Free health care for all and fuck the rich is what constitutes intelligent discourse in their little minds.

Continue bashing me.
I'll let you know when you hurt my feelings.

The problem here is healthcare costs will never fall when the capitalist model is applied to something with infinte demand. It's just not gonna happen without government intervention, ever...

^They already know that. Why do you think they are fighting so hard to hang on to the status quo? The baby boomers are just now starting to get old... This about to become the 'healthcare age' in America. The last thing that wealthy investors need is the government getting in the way of their perceived right to profit hand over fist from owning the corporations baby boomers will have to turn to for care as they age.

Hell is about to freeze over. Watch this, folks...
I actually have a lot more respect for starinvestor than I would an ignorant gnat like you, even despite our past heated debates. Even starinvestor knows when he's made a mistake and admits it. You're just an absolute joke of a human being, looking for someone to type a line of text that you can remotely align your bigoted self with instead of realizing that you don't know everything.

And let's not get this twisted, son... I can tell your feelings are hurt. If what I do doesn't bother you, then why can't you stop talking about me? Why feel the need to talk about how I call you names when you indirectly insult and call people names just as much? Hell, why even complain about anyone calling you names? I have an entire blog post dedicated to the names people have called me over the years, yet do you see me crying like a little punk? Instead of trying to make mine look verbally superior, I'm just more deliberate and to the point because I want you to feel it. I also already declared on this board that I won't let you get the last word either. Figure it out, troll-mutt, I'm purposely being a thorn in your side for nothing more than to watch you squirm. That's because you need to follow your OWN advice and "think before you type".

I guess that means I'm just being an asshole. Well, you deserve it. Really, you do.

You're not on my level, nor anywhere close to my intellect to debate any political or social topic objectively. Recognize this fact (even if it doesn't adhere to your "reality") and step aside, kid. Or, be a fool and respond again with some more nonsense. I mean, this isn't the first time we've gone back and forth on these boards and the outcome is ALWAYS the same. What makes you think I'm going to let this be any different?

No unrealistic expectations

I'm just being an asshole.

That makes twice in one posting that I agree with you but I really don't consider it progress.

Don't even try to patronize or bullshit me.
You specifically targeted me in this thread, when everyone (including myself) voiced opposition about your comment regarding people "purchasing healthcare before they got sick". I never claimed to be perfect, however, you obviously feel more animosity whenever I comment against you than others.

You obviously have a problem with me, and think everything about me is a "shortcoming" mainly because you view me as a "blind liberal". However, I just view you as an idiot. A socially ignorant idiot whose beliefs harbor on divisive, sectarian ideologies. That's before your political alliances come into play. Major difference.

That makes twice in one posting that I agree with you but I really don't consider it progress.

You don't have to see it as progress. You're not the one anyone has to reach up to or aspire to be. It's not the first, nor will it be the last that I make fun of myself on this board. I know I can be a prick... but only to those who deserve it.

BTW, considering that you're the one that monikers themselves off a canine, it's actually quite laughable that you're now trying to twist my own joke about Pavlov against me. Now, be a nice bitch and think of something original. Riding my balls for inspirational asperse doesn't help you here. Or, you can keep scratching yourself in the back with the whole "I know you are but what am I" defense mechanism. Not even realizing that the more you try to shake off, the more you expose yourself for what you really are... nothing.

I don't know about all that, not that I doubt it, I just don't know.

I do know this though, and it's not at all hard to recognize:

"Right-wing authoritarians tend to exhibit cognitive errors and symptoms of faulty reasoning. Specifically, they are more likely to make incorrect inferences from evidence and to hold contradictory ideas that result from compartmentalized thinking. They are also more likely to uncritically accept insufficient evidence that supports their beliefs, and they are less likely to acknowledge their own limitations.

"Authoritarian politicians are more likely to be in the Conservative or Reform party in Canada, or the Republican Party in the United States. They generally have a conservative economic philosophy, are highly nationalistic, oppose abortion, support capital punishment, oppose gun control legislation, and do not value social equality.

"Authoritarians are generally more favorable to punishment and control than personal freedom and diversity. . . They tend to be ethnocentric and prejudiced against racial and ethnic minorities, and homosexuals."

What part of the republican party resembles authoritarianism?

They don't believe in voting leaders in?

There are self-appointed government heads?

No elections?

Watch out! Republicans are the boogie man!
