I'm a total Buffy addict. "Hush" and "Doppelganger Land" (bored now) rank high in my list of faves.

The entirety of season 5 is impeccable. Who doesn't love a show that makes hot men wearing dresses socially acceptable to geeky straight men? And while it's super-sappy, "The Gift" always makes me cry.

My fave character was definitely Tara. I could relate with her in SO many ways!

I still have a huge man crush on Zander Harris! Bless his little cotton socks and/or eye patch. The bit where he talked evil Willow down from her grief fueled, nihilistic rage by reminding her of how he even loved 'yellow crayon willow' gets me every time.

I think the whole vapid, blonde stereotype actually being a strong (emotionally and physically) paragon of humanity was kinda the point. She could always kick serious ass in her stylish yet affordable boots but I agree she was nothing without the scoobies. Faith was just a hot, bad girl distraction for me.

Thank you, I had forgotten about the 'yellow crayon willow' moment...again, brilliant... might have to see if I can borrow the DVDs. The actor playing Zander is now a semi-regular on Criminal Minds...

not to be a hater, but i like my vampire slayers on some dark shit(Blade all day... except the third movie..and the anime is on point!!)
i tried hard to get into buffy(i dig s.m.g....for real!!)but it wasn't my style of vampire/monster/demon slayer.
i guess it's because i never dug Wheadon's work..(tv or comic book)it's just too soft for me.
i'm really scared that he's directed the Avengers movie.

Let me say that I will forever love this show. Like the original poster stated, every now and then I will bust out the DVDs and re-watch the entire series. I was introduced to the movie first as a kid. Then I found out that they were making a television show. I saw the first episode and was hooked. Not only was the writing smart, clever and witty but they also dealt with so many real life issues. I could go on and on about the show but I wont :biggrin1:

I got the box set for Christmas and took less than 5 weeks to watch the whole 7 series.. so yes I would say I'm more than a bit of a fan.. Now what to watch next..

Hush and Restless are my favourite Episodes however I love the pace an change of season 7 It just seeems to fly by..

I was resistant to digging into the Buffyverse for a looooong time. Not sure exactly why, other than it just didn't look that interesting to me (never a big Gellar fan, either). After bathing in the glory of Firefly, I developed an interest in all things Whedon and have tracked down just about everything he's done. I still haven't taken the Buffy plunge, but I will someday in the not too distant future. Too many people I respect have loved it. At this point, it's like a future treasure I'm saving for myself.

Hope I'm not let down!

And this thread reminds me that I wanted to post about this other show.

I absolutely love Buffy. I'm sad to say I have not seen all the episodes, before my time but I've watched enough to love it, some day I'm gonna buy all the seasons and watch them.
