hey guys

am just looking for your views.

the following question may seem bizarre, but I gotta ask you.

How do you sit? As I have big and muscly legs...and not only that, I cannot sit with my legs crossed, and tend to sit with my legs wide apart. I've heard that these days it's kinda rude...ish as I draw attention to my genitals...or is it only my impression. What is your view? How do you sit on the bus/at a job interview...and so on.
How does a guy who sit with his legs wide apart appear to you?

thanks in advance

At 12 yrs old, came home from school and went to my Dad. Told him the guys were laughing at me cause of the bulge down left leg and a faded spot on jeans. He said you are a guy, guys have bulges there like girls have bulges on their chest.. Look, he said I have a bulge and am damn proud of it. Enjoy it, let it show, and flaunt it.

I can cross my legs but it isn't comfortable for very long. I generally sit with my legs apart and don't worry about it. If I am wearing supportive compression underwear then the bulge is lifted up more uniformly and is covered somewhat by the bunching of my pants. If it's boxers then my stuff hangs in a lumpy pile somewhere between my legs. It seems from my observation that most guys spread their legs somewhat if they aren't crossed. If you try to hold them together then you squash your genitals so I don't see much choice. I think baldyboy8000's dad had the best advice.

I don't think it's particularly considered rude to sit with your legs apart. I guess in "polite society" one wouldn't sit with them wide, wide apart, but almost all men sit with them slightly apart, for obvious reasons. I'd do whatever's comfortable, zwalahuja.

I fell ya, I've got a pretty big thighs as well. I do the, "kinda crossed legs" haha. I can't full on cross my legs, so I just take my right ankle and put on my left knee. I like this because it doesn't accent my bulge, and I can put my lap top on there and get some work done. Or I'll cross my ankles, that makes it so your legs technically crossed, but there is still room for the junk to not get squished.

i hardly ever see guys with their legs crossed. i don't think its impolite for guys to sit with their legs apart - but i find it unusual to see them with legs crossed (apart from the way thickcockjames describes)

I hate to see any man sitting with his legs crossed. I know it is just in my mind but I don't think it looks masculine. It kind of bothers me thinking how much everything must be scrunched up. I also don't like to look of it.
I do like to see a man with his ankle crossed over his other knee.

Yup, I find it quite difficult to sit in anyway, but with my legs apart.

I personally don't mind seeing guys crossed legs, but you have to wonder how comfortable it is.

Got feed back once in a meeting that it looked like I was going to rugby tackle a guy though, so I try and lean back more now :p

I've never heard that sitting with your legs spread wide apart is rude for a male. Perhaps it might appear overly casual in some circumstances (i.e. job interview), even more so if the candidate isn't sitting straight up. When I'm sitting comfortably, my legs tend to spread apart at the knees, especially if the height of the couch or chair is low. No one has ever said a word about it to me.

My default is legs spread to some extent, even in a work setting. Obviously it's easier when at a desk or table where the positioning of my legs is less obvious. If I'm seated on a sofa or in front of people I try for a bit more restraint.

In general I agree with the previous poster: Legs spread with upright posture comes across MUCH differently than legs spread while leaning back. I don't think the former comes across as louche, but it's hard for me to imagine the latter ever being appropriate in a professional setting.

My equipment is very large and I can not cross my legs. If I didn't have male equipment then it would be proper to cross your legs, but since i do have the equipment and i love it I'm going to show it just like women show there tits. Come on men be men and quit trying to hide your dick and balls as everyone know you have them.

I try to sit with my legs up in a V shape.

The V pointing down to my junk and my arse / ass...

Like I'm strapped into a "sling" for an sm sex session.

And yes, I do do it at interviews, meetings and so on.

...hmm. Do you think this could be related to why I find career development difficult ?

More support would help some but it is okay to sit with your legs somewhat apart. Sitting with legs extremely wide apart is considered in polite circles to be unrefined. It does help if you sit with your hands laced together, and on your lap. Like when dining, if you are not using one hand, you sit with it on your lap. Do the same when just sitting.
BTW, I wear Diamond Gusset brand jeans. They have more room in the crotch, and they don't have a seam to stab you in the goods.

There's wide apart, and WIDE-wide apart.

The latter is when you're taking up too much [public] space or are in close vicinity of the person in front of you that isn't your bf/gf/buddy. For example, on the bus, and your legs are so wide apart they are blocking the two seats beside you. Or if you're in a waiting area and there's a stranger directly in front of you.

I'm not large, and crossing my legs usually isn't a problem. But when it is, it's because my parts are sitting in a bad spot for whatever reason (e.g. underwear). However, I only cross my legs when I'm at my desk or at a table of sorts. I don't know WHY I do it... possibly because it relieves pressure on my buttocks? lol

I see nothing wrong with sitting with your obviously hard earned thick thighs spread. You have to be comfortable, and personally, I find muscular guys crossing their legs kind of a turn off. You will probably attract some attention to your crotch, but, hey, it's a hazard of being hot. Learn to live with it. If you are not going to be yourself, who are you going to be?
