Burning Koran

To do something to gratuitously cause offence is never justified.
Nor should any book, ever, be burnt. Not even Mein Kampf. All books serve a use. Religion was our first attempt at literature and philosophy; it doesn't mean because it's true it has value, but it has significance. Likewise with Mein Kampf, it may not be true, but it services valuable purposes in understanding the mind set of those who committed genocide.
No book, ever should be burnt.
As far as I'm concerned both the Koran and Bible are both bullshit, and until someone can prove otherwise I will not retract my position on that. But I'll certainly never retract my position on the value of all books.

So what's your take on e-books then?

I don't know how Muslims would deal with e-books.

Some Muslims believe that even a written quotation from the Koran is holy and must be treated with the same reverence as the Koran itself. However, in some respects, they also believe in being practical. Perhaps they would not approve of having a Koran in electronic format, but if that is the case, they would also have to disapprove of modern printing methods.
