I am curious as to how you guys figure out when you've pumped at too high of an HG or for too long.

It is a feeling or a visual observation. I assume everyone's dick is different and some can pump higher than others.

What happens when you pump too hard? I have heard of veins bursting and stuff. Does anyone have pics of some of this?

What do you look for? Are there certian things that won't heal?

The main thing you get are water blisters which are in fact lymphatic fluid drawn to the surface by excess pressure. These are not totally unlike friction blisters. They ARE painful after the fact and they will cause you to have to lay off pumping until full healing takes place.

Burst blood vessles would be possible in theory, but the pain level before you got there would tell you to stop.

The other thing that is common to pumping is a medical condition called patachea which darkens the color of the penis slightly. It is a given with pumpers and it is nothing that is noticeable unless one were to look with a magnifying glass. It is pretty much an "occupational hazard" with piumping and some actually like the slightly darker skin hue they get.

Good Luck,

Interesting. I have read a few things posted by people how they ruined thier penis and such through pumping.

I can't see how they would not know when to lay off and stop. There have to be obvious warning signs other than the pain.

The patachea...is that kind of like a hickey on your whole penis? lol

Patachea are off-color spots. The major problems are: spots, bruising, and the like, but unless you go past where it is super painful, those things will go away. The good rule of thumb is, Don't go too much too fast, and if it hurts more than feels good stop.

The only thing that can get damaged is the skin of your penis. The internals are not really open to damage through safe vacuum pumping. It's all about the delicate capillaries that surround the inner foreskin. The head like FuzzyKen mentioned can be plagued by water blisters. I am only susceptible to water blisters after I come off of a large break... regular pumping staves off the water blisters. There is no bursting involved with pumping unless you get a water blister and burst it with a needle. Pumping absolutely MUST be done regularly though... there is a build up that occurs and THAT is what leads to REAL growth.

So really the bigger consiquesce of pumping too hard is causing the blisters and such and having to stop for a while....lose some of your progress till it heals and start again.

But keeping up with it....I would guess at least twice a week?, would help prevent blisters and spotting.

Ive pumped for 2 hours before and never had any problems so this is totally foreign to me but,ive heard of those with the dreaded "thin skin"who've injured themselves to the point of needing medical attention. All around pumping is only as dangerous as the individual doing it as a little comon sense goes a long ways...hit 10 hg and you're asking for trouble!....easy does it.

Pumping Breaks,

When you draw fluid in and create an erection via pumping, medically you can greatly affect blood flow to all parts of the penis and that includes the erectile structures. You should eliminate the vacuum and allow the penis to relax and resume blood flow at intervals not to exceed 11 minutes. Failure to allow oxygenation within the erectile control tissues can result over time in permanent vascular leakage and a slow onset of erectile dysfunction. The rest periods between the times under vacuum should be 3-5 minutes.

During the time the re-oxygenation of tissues is taking place other manipulation stretches can be done to promote blood flow.

If that kind of damage is done the odds are pretty good that Viagra or Cialis is not going to be the treatment of choice. You'd be stuck with a needle in the dick before sexual activity. The needle is not all that bad, but, if you can avoid this one take it from one who knows, try and avoid this kind of injury at all costs.

Avoiding it is easy and simply rememebr that tissues all need oxygenated blood.

Hey Leap247, I'm an avid pumper for a while now and started wrong. I was excited and didn't use a gauge. Almost needless to say I injured myself with petecchia (blood burst spots, water blisters, and darkening. The darkening I don't mind, but I finally got my act together with a proper pump with a gauge and controlled pressure never going above 8 in of mercury for more than a minute. Everyone's been giving great advice. Pump 15-20 minutes if you're ready. Rest five minutes with a massage. If you find yourself unable to achieve an erection after a set, STOP! and come back another day. Your skin will strenghthen and thicken after time. You will pump thicker and longer after time. If you go for extremes when pumping you're not pumping or PE. Maintain a nice, even pump with low pressure and regular oxygenation and you should see permanent gains in a while. Take your time.
