Well, sometimes people get a little flustered and have a failure of articulation when they are trying to respond to something as unbelievably ignorant as the post of yours that cocktaste was responding to. (YOUR original reponse, actually, was in response to one of my posts; I was too overcome by your profound stupidity to even try to respond it)

From your previous post on this thread, I think if you're honest then you would admit that you can not rationally consider the alternatives in this argument. I think that's okay, it is an emotional topic. But I don't think you should slam me because of it.

I will say only one more thing, because your mind is obviously impenetrable (which is the same thing that you are ascribing to me):

"PEOPLE WHO SUPPORTED THIS INVASION AT THE POINT IN TIME IN WHICH IT OCCURED ARE MORALLY REPUGNANT"

Actually, I should have given up responding to you earlier, or never started, as you are from such a stupid place as Mississippi. Why is it that so many of the stupid people in the U.S. live in the South? (and by that I don't mean every Southerner). Actually, your region does have a history of defending the indefensible.

True, as is the corollary, "Those who continue to support it are worse."

I get your parenthetical statement, but this whole paragraph is uncalled for.

Two things:

One: I never said that I supported this invasion at any point. I didn't for reasons both intellectual and personal. But that is really beside the point. However before you decide what is morally repugnant, please read a book on immorality. The decision of whether someone made an immoral decision in supporting this war would depend a great deal to with their personal circumstances and opinions. These are certainly things you would have no way of determining for everyone nor should you try. For example there are vast number of Kurds that could take easy and considerble issue with your statement.

Two: It is certainly not me that sounds stupid or as having a history of defending the indefensible.

Plus one note - For future reference do not assume that because someone lives somewhere that they are therefore from there. And besides you're wrong, I have met many intellegent people since moving to Mississippi. They may not be as well educated as people from other areas, but that does not make them stupid.
