What I want to know is; why do manufacturers put a button on the fly of boxer shorts?

It appears to me to be a waste of time.

Why do we park in a driveway, and drive on a parkway?
    Shouldn't a 'building' be called a 'built'?

    _____________
    and the list goes on...

    Mostly, it's fashion.

Partly, it's so you can pretend you're wearing briefs. And partly, it's to keep your dick from falling out the fly.

My dick will never stay in the boxers if they don't have the button.

Or velcro. Hurts like hell when you get hair hung up in velcro.
