I was embarrased buying them at first and then eventually thought... Hey, I buying them because I'm getting laid. What's so bad about that? :lol:Originally posted by madame_zora@Jul 16 2004, 06:36 PM
I'm 41 and I still find it embarrassing, who knows why. I bought condoms for my daughter and kept them around for any of her friends, male of female who wanted them. I would rather give them to young people rather than think the embarassment of having to buy them might keep them from practising safe sex. Also, having condoms around gave me a chance to talk about sex issues with them sometimes without sounding too weird.
I've never had a sales clerk, young or old, male or female, ever make a comment, or remark or do anything other than just scan them like every other item I was buying. Before scanners, I did make sure that the packages had price tags to avoid the price check over the intercom scenario.
Seriously, I commend you for having that kind of open relationship with your daughter.
Better to be a little embarrassed than being pregnant or getting an STD.
