I believe they forced Pete to drop out via blackmail. The DNC created something quite nasty about Pete and intended on releasing it if he insisted upon staying in the race.

This is just idiocy. The race was narrowing, he was not wining non-white voters as much as he needed. Tuesday was going to be bad, it was time to leave. The "they" referred to here so far in this election have been unable to count votes in a timely manner, arrange credible debate platforms or change light bulbs with any degree of success. The idea that they have 'something' on an out, gay married man is a laugher in the extreme. Nothing could be worse than what we know about Trump and is did not slow him at all.

Okay, I’ll just believe what I said. The DNC has proven themselves to be nasty and untrustworthy. They will concoct lies if the means justifies the ends. Pete was one of the only candidates that appeared sane and rational. Now we’re stuck with the looney bin. I’m out.

Lol why is it easier for people to believe completely wild conspiracy theories than reality? The man didn't have a shot. He's practically broke. The last debate he was begging for donations ffs. I thought it was a cute and sincere moment, but its true he couldn't afford to contest where he needed too.

And all the moderates are clearly handing Sanders nominees because they are splitting any other vote.

You were never in. I liked Pete. His positions were not unique and that was his problem. Other people were holding the same territory and the field narrowed making a win impossible after his poor showing among black voters in South Carolina.

Our presidential selection system is whacked. For years California was the last state to hold primary elections--in June. Most years the field was reduced to just a few candidates by then. California moved its primary to Super Tuesday so their voters would have more choices. Even now several candidates have dropped out effectively reducing voter choice.

All 50 states should have their party presidential primary elections on a single day so voters have the most candidates from whom to choose. That would be a Super Tuesday.

This is pretty specific. Do you have any proof of this?

Well now who will get those votes? I'm wishing he'd have stayed until after Tuesday.

I don't think his absence will affect the results of Tuesday too much. Biden may pick up some of his supporters but everything is pointing to a big Bernie win, especially in California. I think the likely outcome on Tuesday is why he left now.
