Calif School Success and Opp Act For TRansgen

Was curious what people thought about this act basically allowing transgendered students to use facilities they identify with in Cal High schools.

I 100% support transgendered kids, have no problem with them. feel they need to be treated fairly, well and like everyone else. While I personally would not have a problem with this, I can sort of see how some might...not so much as a discriminatory thing, but just on being comfortable. If a guy identifies as a girl, does that mean he should have the same access to the girls lockerroom? and vice versa? Its a toughie. Thoughts from the pack?

Trans* identified peopled need the right to use whatever facilities they feel comfortable using. It's already odd enough that (at least in this situation) this policy would only accommodate the use of two pre-existing gendered spaces and not implement any kind of non-gendered space, given that not all trans* folks identify as FTM/MTF. It blows my mind that this would still be an issue to anyone.

Mic drop.

In this case we are talking about teens who are not as mature in some cases about it all. So say you have a bunch of 15-16 yo old boys using the lockerroom...and a transgen girl wants to also use it. Id think that could be awkward for some..and for the tran for that matter.
