Why do we think he would have been invited back for the later Twilight movies? Doesn't his character's death in the first film match his death in the first book? I don't think his character returns in later books, being dead.

I think the thought was that he specifically auditioned/or agreed to a role that wouldn't require him to return since he didn't want to go the franchise route. If I recall he was shooting Never Back Down at this time as well, along with some other movies. If he knew how successful this was going to be. He may have agreed to it lol.

So Cam has three remaining movies to be released this year. I don't expect them to show any nude scenes based on their descriptions, but who knows, maybe he will surprise us.

It's the reason he took the part since it was only for 1 movie. He had no desire to be tied to a franchise and play the same character multiple times.

He's friends with the director of Twilight. They also worked together on Reckless for CBS. I'm sure if he wanted to appear in more movies. She would have made changes to the character regardless of what transpired in the books.

Maybe she would have wanted to if she was hired back but she wasn't invovled in the later movies either. Who was invovled in the later movies was author Stephanie Meyer, who watched very closely to make sure there were as few changes from the books to the movies as possible.

True. But I'm talking about when Catherine was the director and were negotiating with Cam to bring him on. If he desired to appear in more than one movie. I'm sure they would have made some changes or it would have been another character he played. It's all mute now since Cam had no desire to return.
