Any ladies here cam girls? I'm just curious as to how much on average a woman (say a very sexy curvy latina) would make if she decided to get into this biz.

If she has no experience, and doesn't know the going rate, and she works for someone else, she might settle for something like $0.75 a minute. If she has experience does her research, she can expect to start at $1/minute, or up to $1.25 a minute, and can expect to get raises as she proves her value to the company by keeping men for longer sessions, and keeping her regulars, and by being reliable.

If she works for herself, she can expect to make $2.50/minute to $5.00/minute based on how much she feels she can get away with charging. She'd be part f a camming community, and should charge the high-end of the average range of prices there. The more of a niche she can fill, the more she can charge. That is, if she knows how to manipulate fetishists, she can really make bank.

The kinkier a guy is, the more he's used to paying to get his desires satisfied. Foot and leg guys, guys into odors and scents, guys, guys into body worship, and others are willing to spend lots, and sometimes buy your old sockings, panties, bras, shoes, etc or buy you new stuff to model for them. You just have to know how to ask. (I'm a phone dominatrix. I can make this happen, I KNOW even a bad cam girl can do it.)

The downside to working for oneself is that you MUST do your own marketing, and sometimes that's not only boring, but tedious. It costs money upfront sometimes too. The plus side is you make more. On the other hand, the downside to working for an employer is you'll have a salary cap, and you may have a more rigid schedule. On the plus side, you may not have to get involved with marketing, and even if you do you won't have to lay out any money. Also, you're more likely to see customers faster.

Either way, she should know this:Those images of her, naked, stripping, playing with her pussy, or whatever else she does are FOREVER. There is nothing to stop a viewer from saving screen captures of her stream. Nothing. If she's comfortable wth that, she can make bank.

I'd like to do this myself too, but something tells me men aren't very in demand for that sort of thing ;)

Men are in demand enough, but you have to be able to do gay fantasies.

Think, I bet you could do it. Just remember the images may be forever. It just takes one tech-savy client.

Do I have to have my face in the cam screen all the time? Or can I just have my coochy.

It seems to me like you won't get the minutes you could if you are just showing your honey pot. Think of it like stripping. Have you ever seen exotic dancers? You have to tease. Men who are paying won't stay very long once you show them what they want to see. It's like that in phone sex which is less expensive, so I don't see why it would be different with camming. On the phone, I have found it most profitable to start giving a man what he wants as his time is running out. Then he agrees to pay for more time, but the mood has shifted, and he's back to being teased. The industry average for phone without cam is 14 minutes. My average? 60. My advice to you should you decide to cam is to never forget the clock. You are trading time + fantasy for money. Understand the fantasy, deliver it over the longest stretch of time you can. Smile often. Also, create a complete, three-dimensional character with her own social life, struggles, concerns, desires, and ethics. make her flexible in terms of interests and fantasies. Create a life story. Why does she strip on camera? (Hint: never tell them it's the money. It's always for fun.) Be the character. Be happy, even when you aren't. Watch porn, look throuh magazines, do whatever it takes, but BE LEGITIMATELY HORNY! They know the difference. Push the envelope. They need something they never gt from any other woman. That is the key to repeat business.

As I said, I neve cammed for cash. I was never comfortable with the idea of not knowing who might have graphic pornographic video and photos of me and what might happen to those images. On the other hand, the money to be made is very good, and looks like fun to me. I think you would have to show your face from time to time.

Why not do a google search for camming communities, and look through the advertisements therein to see if many of the ladies are hiding their faces?

Also, if you are interested, you could check job listings at adultstaffing.com. I found three previous phone sex jobs there, and always saw ads for cam girls, or phone+cam girls.

Once I am no longer living in my parents house, I just might do it as an extra cash deal.
