Great examples! Should have the ruler on top/ looking down from out in front one too (that seems pretty common). It's probably a bit harder to employ though when there's such an abrupt and visible difference between the end and top of the object, like with a can.

I had taken these a long time ago and forgotten about them. I admittedly felt like it was poor quality and examples and just let it sit. I did take a pic somewhat from that angle but it looks like the ruler isn't close enough to the base. I didn't want to move the ruler because I wanted to be purely just moving the camera around. But yeah I could have slid that ruler 2 inches back to line up with the "start" of the can
