There's just way too much bad camera work online so I had to post this.

    - Don't use flash - this makes everything look like an old medical procedure pic. No color and no shadows ends up looking like bad porn. ick.

    - Clean your room - weird stuff in the background, boxes and underwear all over the place (one guy even had an un-emptied cat litter box in his continuous shot), are totally distracting and sometimes, well.. gross.

    - STD - wow. if you have something going on (rash, blisters, etc.) please go to the dr., and not with your camera either. I feel like I need a shower and a tetnis shot after viewing some pics.

    - Hygiene - just, you know. Shower, shave, tan. etc. Play like you're on a date with your camera.

    - Blurred images - if you're too turned on to hold it still (the camera that is) use a mini tripod or even a stack of books or some of that shit in the background can make a stand for your camera.

    - Extreme close ups - some pics of people's butts look like Mars rover shots. I have no idea of what is in that pic and why did you post it?

    more later... :)

    - And don't always take dickshots taken from above... Give your gallery some
diversity, different angles, something interesting for everyone...

Maybe you go a little too far, DT.
Flash can be used in a good way if you have the technique and the equipment.
Umbrella flash, for example, can give very flattering shading to a body.
And there are good diffusers that can improve results from flash.
But I imagine you're addressing peeps who will simply use the pop-up flash on the camera, as is.

And yes, such use is generally a killer of all the flattering modeling effects a photographer should want to achieve with light.

    Haha.
    Yes!

    Remove socks prior to filming.

yea...lets set up soft boxes and umbrellas with multiple strobes to take a picture of my cock... hahaha. Don't forget to light meter the head to get proper exposure reading as it can cause reflections. I hope no one goes to that much effort just for this website.

haha i can see if it's for a tasteful art piece then ya, go for it. Just feels a bit strange to me to set up all of that equipment just to show off how large your dick is. But you also have a point, to each his own.... *starts setting up flashes lol*

    "All of that equipment ..."
I imagine you're thinking of that shot of umbrella strobes, which was a rather elaborate set-up.
But that's just the first pic I saw.
No one is really suggesting going that far.

LOL  Yeah, I was bad at that one. I'd point and shoot, look at 'em later and have to ask myself, "What is all of sh*t in the background??

Place is much neater now, though. Floods have a tendency to do that, y' know.

Oh I know you weren't suggesting going that far. I was just having a laugh in my first post where I was exaggerating.

But I completely agree with your post, a simple diffuser, even on a pop-up flash can definitely help and I see no problems with using that :)

Steadycams and Jibs are definitely a must if you're gonna film yourself haha. Also, please post. lol :)

I don't tan, and the only camera I have is on my laptop... does that mean I need to stop taking pics?

Setting - Too many bathroom shots. Don't you have any other rooms in your house? Even if it's the only place you're used to working up a bone, we really don't want to see your toilet. (Unless of course it's a deliberate piss shot.) On the other hand, shower shots are hot. If you're shooting yourself in the bathroom mirror, clear all that clutter of beauty products off the counter in the foreground - which looks like twice as much reflected in the mirror. No one cares what kind of hair gel you use. You can even leave the house and find other locations. Outdoor shots are hot too. Outdoor + shower shots are mega hot.

Pic overkill - Five or more pages of near identical extreme closeups of your dick are just plain boring. (Same thing applies to five pages of you in your undie collection.) Try mixing it up with some fuller body shots or at least some partial body shots for variety and to put 'things' in context. And trust me, nobody's looking at five pages unless you're the god of all sex gods. Two or three at the most are more than enough, and only if you're exceptionally hot and have a whole lot of variety in your pics.

Costuming - Pics with your shorts around your knees or ankles just look stupid. You're already exposing your dick fer chrissake so you may as well be naked. Socks are okay though. Some people are really into socks.

Your hands are in the picture too - Clean and trim your fingernails.

    Size isn't everything - Size isn't everything.

Though I agreed with everything in your post, this seems to me especially true.
Too many pics just dilutes the effects of the outstanding ones.
    Edit, edit, edit ....

This dude seems to have taken his own advice a bit too seriously. Not a single photo posted for the general membership to see.
