I've told heterosexual male friends and family members before that I loved them and had that sentiment returned. Hugs were sometimes involved.
Thank G-d that younger men are seeing the light. OK, I know I'm only 9 years older than you, but there is somewhat of a shift in attitudes that I've noticed in guys even only 10 years younger than me.
English is such a poor language when it comes to love. We only have one word "love." I like Greek better in this regard:
1) Eros = Sexual love/attraction
2) Storge = Familial love
3) Philia = "Brotherly" love or "kinship"
4) Agape = Unconditional love for others in spite of their character flaws and weaknesses
I would think that heterosexual males would experience 1, 2, and 4 amongst each other. Eros, would make you gay, bisexual, or at least bi-curious, I would think.
