"Turning gay" implies it's a conscious choice. Which it isn't, it's genetic. Sexuality, what turns people on/off, is based on biology. Or chemistry? I really sucked at science.

I don't subscribe to the idea that all people are either straight or gay (I think this board proves that). A lot of people fall somewhere in between, myself included. If a guy enjoys fucking men in the ass, he isn't straight. Doesn't necessarily mean he's gay, but he's not straight. Similarly if a guy is completely turned off by the idea of a man sucking his cock and only gets aroused by women, then he's probably not gay.

But no amount of alcohol, charm, affection or horniness is gonna make a guy who is totally heterosexual have sex with another guy. They might make a guy who is generally straight explore his "wild side," but acting on those desires is an expression of something that was already part of his genetic makeup.

If most people are bisexual to some degree, he may have had a tendencies to go both ways but found gay sex more satisfying to the exclusion of straight sex. I know quite a few guys guys who can and do have sex with women on occasion either because of circumstances or because they just plain feel like it. I truly didn't think I was gay until I had sex with another boy in school. This happened after I had already had sex with girls and enjoyed it, only I enjoyed it much more with guys. I found it much more erotically satisfying. So I do have sex with women on occasion but I don't seek it out. Alone in a very ungay place with a woman who's hitting on me and I find attractive? Sure. But if I had a choice between the two, I'd take the guy.

I'd say they're just lonely. But in my experience I've noticed most men, regardless of sexual persuasion, will fuck just about anything if their hormones are in alignment with a particular phase of the moon. LOL!

I feel than, if the inclination is there for same sex attraction is there, then it will more often than not surface despite the dude's every obstacle he puts in its way to stop it. Human beings are too complex to just be born one way and stay that way forever. We are in a constant state of flux always learning, and adapting. You can evolve into a different sexual preference at any stage of your life.

I'm constantly learning; it sometimes seems like I don't do much in life other than read. But my sexuality is not in a state of flux and never has been. I'm 100% gay and always have been. And at this point in my life, it would be disconcerting at best to suddenly evolve into a different sexual orientation.
