according to my knowlege (sine I have studied it and also read about it in scientific publications) I may say that everyone is not an extreme. I mean, even me being gay, doesn't mean that I hate weman, 'cos i can socialize with them and vice-versa. The core mechanism seems to be regulated by the brain in a specific region related with sexuality (since there are to many). So a gay person has some morphological alterations in such regions that give rise to a diferent physiology and as consequence behaviour = way of feeling love, well psycology stuff. Nevertheless, since our society is mainly heterosexual ( as it is meant to be by nature) we are erased as ment to be heterosexual as well, repressing sometimes our own sexuality, since it is not that accepted or "normal" for many others. By this way, some people find out that they are gay after having experiences with people from the other sex, or even after marriage and having kids... it is a matter to accept it by themselves. Also, people that are meant to be gay by nature and actually are erased in a society/group of people that talk about or are more "open" minded, may accept theirselves earlier or even try it out in case of doubt. In short, I would say that the outcome (Cause), whatever it is, depends among various factors since biological, social, psicological... and the result/consequence is actually dependent of a decision making by the individual itself... It depends of course about its own personality!
