This is directly from the CDC web site:

"Scientists and medical authorities agree that HIV does not survive well outside the body, making the possibility of environmental transmission remote. HIV is found in varying concentrations or amounts in blood, semen, vaginal fluid, breast milk, saliva, and tears. To obtain data on the survival of HIV, laboratory studies have required the use of artificially high concentrations of laboratory-grown virus. Although these unnatural concentrations of HIV can be kept alive for days or even weeks under precisely controlled and limited laboratory conditions, CDC studies have shown that drying of even these high concentrations of HIV reduces the amount of infectious virus by 90 to 99 percent within several hours. Since the HIV concentrations used in laboratory studies are much higher than those actually found in blood or other specimens, drying of HIV-infected human blood or other body fluids reduces the theoretical risk of environmental transmission to that which has been observed–essentially zero. Incorrect interpretations of conclusions drawn from laboratory studies have in some instances caused unnecessary alarm.
Results from laboratory studies should not be used to assess specific personal risk of infection because (1) the amount of virus studied is not found in human specimens or elsewhere in nature, and (2) no one has been identified as infected with HIV due to contact with an environmental surface. Additionally, HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host."

No. Stop worrying about it. HIV must be incubated at all times in order for it to survive, so as soon as it's out in the open air, it dies. As far as viruses go, HIV is pretty feeble. So as long as you're not taking loads up your ass or having dodgy blood transfusions, the chances of you contracting it are low. Also, if the guy who is HIV+ is on medication, then those low chances are even lower to the point of negligible.

I also want to point out that you can't catch AIDS. AIDS is a condition that occurs after HIV has completely destroyed the subject's immune system, and nobody who has access to healthcare has AIDS these days because the medication is so freakin' amazing that the HIV can never get to that stage. NEVER! AIDS is dead!

There must be a method of transference. all of what the others have said is in my opinion, pretty accurate and fair advice. The virus does not remain active for long after it is outside of a warm and controlled environment, and it has to have a site such as an open area where the virus can transfer. The BEST advice I can give Anyone,. . is to not just seek the advice of people in forums. Educate yourself. Contact the CDC. Call HIV information organizations. Educate yourself. That is the best advice I can give.

^^^^^^^^ what he said. Call a HIV advice line. Make sure its an advice line that is specifically for HIV, because they know the most up to date information. Also, book an appointment to go into your local GU med clinic or infectious diseases clinic and speak to them. They will be more than happy to talk to you and they will make you feel very comfortable.

You would have far better odds of finding a lottery ticket on the ground and having a win of over 100 million dollars.

It amazes me that in 2013 we are still talking about how HIV can be transmitted.

As I have said many times HIV is neither the most virulent nor the easiest disease to contract. There are others that are far easier to get and far worse.

Education is the key and HIV requires basically a direct pathway into the bloodstream with life exposed to atmosphere being very short.

I sometimes volunteer for an HIV/AIDS service organization and come in contact with our clients personal belongings, like clothing and furniture. Someone once asked me if i was afraid of contracting HIV from doing that. Yep, more education is still needed.

And AIDS isn't dead, as a previous poster wrote. The key is keeping the virus out of your body in the first place. These things can mutate and not be treatable by the usual drugs. Fewer people get it, but we can't become complacent.

No, it's not.

yah he was not very kind there at all.

I have been talking with a couple of fellas who are close by, and to their credit, they have both almost immediately disclosed to me their positive status, I am quite inexperienced really and that said, knowing what I know and have found for myself, not really apprehensive in meeting or engaging with either of these guys...frankly, because I am a frot guy. And I was that way long before manhunt or grindr led me to talk to these fellas. One 23, one 28. Both Pos, and we have pretty much agreed that we are sexy and single, have manners and kindness and generally agree on what is sexy romantic fun...but it is always in the back of my head. I am a frot guy, and that's safe fun, but sharing precum cock to cock, and sucking back and forth, cumming cock to cock, there is risk there...and I have thus not met PHYSICALLY with either of them, compatability and humor and timing not withstanding. I have that lingering worry...and I am bothered by it. We are all single and available great guys, yet I am still aprehensive...the physical relations. I have never had a cold sore. It is stigma, it is worry. It is other options maybe...but to be frank, I find myself thinking...one careful and delicate night double jacking and sucking with a pos guy might well be worth 3 loser nights with neg guys, who are less than interesting and intelligent. yet....

I have spoken with these fellas for almost 3 months and not met for a drink. I think about it a lot.

i am deathly afraid of catching anything so I would not even think about it. Whether or not what people say it true, you have to do what you find comfortable doing. You came here to ask because somewhere in your mind, you're not sure if you should do it. That gut feeling is something we all have and most times it's right.

I spend 3 or more months talking online with ANYONE before I invite them out for a drink. To be clear...and frankly, if after all that time we do go for a drink? I am pretty sure we will end up in our undies/or nude on my couch with porn :)

Just how things have historically flown, I am pretty sure in my "I play safe regimen", but I guess it is always the precum/cum down my throat/cock hole thing, the math has never been articulated to me, matter of factly. I am not a swallower but if there is a surprise, what are the risks?...not a gambler but....precum exists when your doing things right...and I enjoy it

It's pretty much impossible, yeah. The act of rubbing it in, which makes the chances of opening up whatever micro abrasions we all have on our skin that much higher, makes it slightly less improbable, but it's still really unlikely.

However, as has been pointed out, be careful where you're rubbing cum into you. It's hard to pass HIV through skin, but mucous membranes (eyes, nostrils, urethra, etc.) are not so well-guarded.

Can you get HIV or AIDS from rubbing in infected persons cum on your cock and balls or on your body as long as there are no cuts or sores there.

I have not HIV or AIDs because I do not have sex with any lady which has HIV Aids so I am not worry about it.
