Cancer drugs halt type 1 diabetes in mice | Health | Reuters
This is really amazing, I'll defiantly be following this story.
Wonder what the FDA has to say about it.
they'll prolly find a way to stop it or make it illegal. there's no money in curing a disease :frown1:
I sure hope they don't do that. People need as much help as they can get.
i hope they don't either. but as i said, there's no money in curing diseases. which is why i don't believe this country has good or bad health care. we have sick care.
No money in curing diseases? Did you not see my bills for cancer treatment? (not to mention the five year run of after care, with blood tests and about a zilllion other tests-of which I'm not even halfway done with).
As to treatments, the government is of course against health care, mainly because they can't profit from it. Of course, it could be argued that since the percentage of people with diabetes is on the rise, that the government would join in, if only to woo the lobbyists from the giant pharmaceutical companies. A wonderful government sponsored campaign about diabetes tied in with Glaxo and its new diabetes treatment which would feature a pill, capsule or shot at about $50.00 per day. Pharmaceutical company makes their money and shoots much of it over to the politician. And the machinery used for some of the testing-again, corporations manufacture these things and their tidy profits help them to place support behind certain politicians. (you might notice I'm somewhat cynical).
