Why do people think you can not get HD 1080I with 5.1 sound over the air?

You can get 1080i over the air, 1080p is what a lot of people can't get...people like me, who have a 1080p tv, yet cox communications feels the need to wait until 2010 to update to 1080p, bastards

I get several local stations broadcasting in 1080I my tv set and receiver is not capable of pulling in 1080p and I don't think any of my local stations broadcast in 1080p if they did they couldn't multicast. To get full HD 1080p your monitor has to be able to display 1920×1080 resolution and connected with a DVI or hdmi cable.
