A Porsche in one of those run-down Parisian neighboorhoods.

I have never really been a Porsche 911 lover, i do like the 928 though, suppose i am just a lover of a big beefy V8 rather than the boxer engine in a 911. However i 'scratched and itch' a few years ago and 'car-tarted' in a manual 928 GT, it sounded fabulous and i did really like it, but now i realise i wouldn't have one in my garage !

I test drove a new manual shift Porsche in 1976 for one hundred hilly miles and it seemed very underpowered and required constant shifting. I was quite disappointed with that aspect of it ; my reasoning was that there is more to driving than constantly shifting gears. I then test drove the Mercedes 450SL and realized with its powerful engine to flatten hills, I could live with it for a long time and so I have.

Road Trip! Pregnant Christina Anstead and Husband Ant Test Out the Vintage Car She Bought Him

"She wanted to get him something fun to drive..."

Bill, your Porsche 356 photo reminded me of this People magazine article about Newport Beach's favorite little beach blonde Christina and her husband Ant Anstead. After getting married and promptly pregnant (that must have been a fun honeymoon on Bora Bora) Christina, always thinking of her studly hubby, bought him a 1958 Porsche 356B/ 1600 Reutter Coupe just 'cause she could. Current auction prices are upward of $300,000 or more but it was the thought that counts.

It did seem like a fun day for the twosome. First Anstead fills-up the Porsche's gas tank at the 76 station on Newport Blvd. and then they drive south on the Pacific Coast Highway, taking a cell phone video just north of Laguna Beach. After some chips and guacamole at Las Brisas they get some exercise strolling around the Southern California coastal town before heading home. It sure beats living in a double-wide trailer out in the middle of the Mojave desert. :)

My testosterone is pumping, what year is this spectacular supercharged Mercedes? I am guessing 1935.
I think it is a 1936 Mercedes Benz 500K, I assume 1935 was the same!! The below is 1937 540K and You would look fucking hot driving this on the streets of Baltimore!!

Yes, I know BillM , but this is all I have at my disposal at the moment, assuming I can borrow $297, 000 to buy it.
1935 Pierce Arrow with awesome performance and a rumble seat. Arguably the king of cars. It ran rings around the likes of Duesenberg and Packard with V12 under the hood. .
