This won't be the best explanation but if I remember correctly, she wrote a novel during the height of slavery. She portrayed slavery as brutal and horrific in an attempt to enlighten the masses. The name of the book was "Uncle Tom's Cabin".

BTW I must tell you that I do now know most of those cartoon characters about which you have written on this topic. - So, I cannot judge you.

To put again the topic aside: I have whole record-player in my wardrobe, but I do not use it, for I have also CD-player. However, I think that my home is not anachronous. My TV-set is analogical, so I ought to buy digital TV-set with DVD-player instead of videotape player.  :-/
