I used to want to watch porn with him, but he was so hung-up and awkward about it that I just gave up and assumed that if he did occasionally watch porn that he'd rather do so on his own. He found it really upsetting.
I struggle to find anything that I am happy to watch and having to trawl through the ridiculous or offensive to find something kills it for me.

This thread made me chuckle a bit because Mrs. Shackleford often seems to think she's catching me watching porn/having a wank when I'm not. If I'm in the den with the door shut, she'll softly knock and ask, "Can I come in?" like I need the warning when I'm actually just watching TV or reading a book or something similarly innocuous. Or if I'm alone in the bed in the dark with the laptop out, she'll walk in and I'll close the lid enough to kill the light from the screen so I can actually see her, and she'll be all apologetic about "interrupting me" and/or say, "I'm not trying to see what you're looking at," as if I closed it in an attempt to hide the contents. It's pretty funny at times.

As I've said before, it's long since established that I'm a bigger perv than she is, so she never makes a big deal of it, and even though it's pretty obvious when she thinks I'm partaking of the risque entertainment, she just tells me what it is she came to tell me and then goes on about her way. I realized it was important to be open about watching porn. I know my bf does and he knows I do. He sometimes sends me clips of things he knows I like. Honestly is SO important in a relationship. If someone I was with watched porn and was hiding it, I would have a problem.

Part of me thinks I am different though because I was exposed to porn young-ish. I mean, I liked it right from the start and I feel like its just normal. It gave me this buzz feeling that just feels great (actually not sure how to describe that exactly, its like a little "high").

I think the issue is more the expectations a generation raised in a porn-soaked culture has in terms of looks, what to do during sex, what's "normal."
Some companies try to do better, but they aren't enough.

The industry churns and burns actors without regard for their health, too.
And set rape is common. And rarely prosecuted.

So to bring that into your home can be problematic even before time and attention jealousy come into play.

Fumbling about is far more fun as learning experiences go.
