as a dog. Poor boy has strep and he's miserable. He can't talk and he can barely breathe (with his mouth open). Luckily his dad is taking care of him.

Send him good wishes so he can go home. Or come home. Or something.

Best wishes Catharthis-you do have youth on your side so I Hope you'll be well SOON

Get better soon, Cath! Just... no smooching with anybody while you recover! A friend of mine and her boyfriend did that and one or both of them kept having Strep for about 3 months because they kept giving it to each other :p

Poor baby! Stay warm and do not overuse your throat! Or use it too early! You know what I mean! *stern look*

Love you all. <3 Thanks for all the well wishes.

Update on my condition: Nearly a day after being on antibiotics, my throat has opened up a bit and it is much easier to breathe. It still hurts to swallow, but definitely not as much as it did this past weekend.

According to both the nurse and doctor, though, my throat didn't look like it was infected with the streptococcus bacteria at all. It's actually pretty gross to think about what it did look like, so I won't go there. But I tested positive for strep nonetheless, and I'm on the way to feeling better.

Thanks, again, for all your thoughts and wishes. :)
