One of Obama's coming tax hikes in Obamacare - The Tax Penalty due to Obama's mandate. CBO estimates by 2016, people still won't have health insurance  and will be forced to suffer a tax hike. Didn't Obama say that everyone had to be in the system for it to work? It's pretty certain that the tax penalty won't cover those who end up with major illness in the emergency room and who didn't benefit from preventive care. The CBO is showing the failings of Obamacare.

The individual mandate was a Republican idea first, and it was just peachy when they proposed it.

I love it when ideologues pull non-existent numbers out of thin air.

OOps :biggrin1: forgot eyeroll smiley of sarcasm

You may complain as much as you want about the Individual Mandates but Grassley and Hatch originally proposed them back in the early/mid 90's. And that was the Republican idea in opposition to Hillary Clinton's healthcare initiative.

Trinity if I give you a dollar will you go away and fuck yourself. You used to be amusing but you are now a pathetic miserable sack of manure and your repetitive nonsense has worn out its welcome. Go amuse yourself in another way, perhaps finally give it up to Pissbull and let Nick of the Sixes watch?

Obama's healthcare reform that he passed won't work and the CBO is showing that with it's report. CBO estimates by 2016 3 million middle class still won't get healthcare and will suffer Obama's Tax Penalty. The Tax Penalty will hurt middle america, they still won't have healthcare and the tax revenue won't sustain Obama's healthcare plan:

Please show us the passage in the law that defines this 'Tax Penalty' you refer to. If it exists, then surely you can show us.

Pose your question to the CBO or do your own homework. You can read their report if you click on the link provided for you in the OP...but since you missed it:

This is a new slant on shroud waving. Keep your taxes and do your own dirty work, substandard schools, sweep the streets, dispose of all your garbage, fight your own foreign wars or is that something you's rather throw your dollars at. Tax and work is a way we distribute wealth in our community. Choose good guardians that don't pander to your prejudices and maybe the tax system will be equitable. Mewanwhile go on stuffing the maws of your elite bankers with gold.

I already did, hence my challenge to you to prove that what you're claiming here actually exists...

If you're so sure that there is a penalty, then by all means, just show us the passage in the law that defines the penalty and sets forth how it is enforced... lololol... Good luck!

ok, and what does that have to do with my question? you were taking a shot at the dems for including something a republican thought up. why would that matter?

this doesnt even have to be about healthcare. if it makes you feel better, you can consider it a hypothetical scenario.

Since you clearly don't like the Dem's solution to this growing problem, let's see what the CBO said about the competing plan proposed by the Republicans...

    http://cbo.gov/ftpdocs/107xx/doc10705/hr3962amendmentBoehner.pdf

So, over 10 years, the Republican plan would have covered an embarrassingly low 3 million additional people who currently lack healthcare coverage... The CBO also found that the percentage of working Americans who lack healthcare coverage would remain unchanged, at 17% of the population... In comparison, the Dem's plan will cover 36 million people who are currently without coverage, reducing the ranks of Americans who lack healthcare coverage to just 4% of the national population... And the Dem plan does this by slicing off tens of billions more from the Federal deficit than the Rep plan would have.

Or as the Washington Post noted during the HCR debate...
    Washington Post

Or in other words, the well thought out and highly debated Dem plan is light years ahead of the corrupt scheme the corporatist Republicans conjured up on the back of a napkin, and cynically tried to foist upon the public.

At least with obamacare you get something for your tax money other than paying for Zippy Bush's major fuck ups. Still need single payer option.
