Which shows the American public recognizes who the problem is, and it is NOT OBAMA. the tea party and congress are feeling the heat at home in August, both literally and figuratively. how appropriate!
The only thing the Tea Party can do right is embarrass themselves, much as the idiot Tea Party / GOP congressman from Colorado who referred to Obama as a "tar baby". Dont they understand that most of us see through their racist hatred of Obama ?

Obama just turned 50. unemployment is down slightly, the FAA crisis is settled until mid - September and much of the nation understands who the obstacle to economic progress is-the Tea Turds.

Thanks Sargon -- I never heard of this before. The article was an interesting read. Makes me shudder when I think of how the one drop rule might have played itself out in 1930's Germany! I imagine it's kind of an irony that in a lot of states where they might still look down on the "Negro" they have no problem inter-marrying their own relatives!

These images aren't terribly mainstream in America either. Alas, the GOP in its search for a political voice embraced a more extreme faction of their base who insist that they're not Republicans although they all register and run under the (R). It's from the fringe element where a lot of the nastiness festers, and now that some of their figureheads have made it to Congress it's become a much bigger mess than it should have.

What sucks is that these particular actions, made by some very negative people over last three years, have ripped the scabs off of some very tender wounds in our nation's history. What's worse is that it's all under the guise of politics where certain buzzwords can be switched out for other derogatory ones to downplay what is really going on underneath the surface. Because nobody wants to be called a racist. But replace that offensive word with Liberal, Conservative, Democrat or Republican and everyone just lets it slide. :no:

Yeah, we already heard that one a few million times and it still doesn't hold any merit with rational thinkers when someone internationally says it either. What's sad is that our nation has never been 100% Capitalistic whatsoever. Many policies are in place that adopt socialistic practices, and many of the dissenters against "socialism" support politicians, have relatives (or even parents) benefit from them. Of course we can't tell them that.

But whatever... keep that hate flowing. Wake me when Obama is the Muslim, Fascist, Nazi Anti-Christ again. That one always gave me a few giggles.
