Reporter's Notebook: Seeing How The Other Half Lives - From The Road

"The McCain campaign plane is better than Obama's, which is cramped, uncomfortable and smells terrible most of the time. Somehow the McCain folks manage to keep their charter clean, even where the press is seated."

Gee, really great potential leader that has a plane that smells so bad people talk about it!

This is a ridiculous article from a whining report and NOT news. You're only reading it because Drudge had it at the top of his page today. What's next, "McCain Driver Does Not Signal"?

In the only other State that begins with "K"!
The headline should have read: "O'bama's plane smells -- but not as bad as the stink eminating from John McCain's campaign Inconsistencies"
    Handle THAT my "fellow prisoners????????????????"
    Hmmmmmmmm!

lol... Yah I gotta agree with SINWIN...this isn't anything important for the presidential run. I wouldn't care if it was the smelliest place on Earth, I would still want to fly in it if Obama was in it!!! :D

I'd rather have someone that smells bad in office than a 72 year old man who's had skin cancer 3 times and is running with easily the dumbest VP candidate in American history...

(I can make pointless posts too, but mine are actually relevant to leadership...)

Al Gore is quite intelligent. Maybe you're thinking of Dan Quayle?

Dan at least learned to shut his mouth unlike our boy Al who’s legacy will be hawking the same wares his friend Michael Moore does and none of it is making him look any smarter.

That story is from the very-liberal CBS News, I didn't write it! If his plane stinks it stinks = now if I were in the same position I would make sure it did not stink but maybe that's just me.

I didn't claim you wrote it. I said you started a thread about it.

Maybe they are spending the money on more important things than air fresheners for their plane? And who cares if it doesn't have an American flag on it?

I dont' really like the attitude of the reporter when he is talking about dissing them and the audiences. And how important "live is". CBS had the live logo in the corner during the Olympic games, but I knew that we beat France in the 4x1 medli 3 hours before it aired. I always had the impression that reporters and the like should be grateful to get any kind of truth, that they would be willing to be in a cramped space or smelly room or anything like that to get the story. Not "bring me a latte and massage my feet" or whatever. Maybe I'm crazy though.

And it kind of hints at the strong arm of the media, "be nice to us, or you lose." There are some valid points though, but it is all moot as far as who is the better canidate as far as I'm concerned.

I agree with you! Al Gore is a very intelligent man and I believe he is doing great things for the Earth right now with bringing awareness of all the shit going on with our planet.

And when Obama gets Air Force One in a few months, I bet it will smell just fine! :biggrin1:

I think it speaks VOLUMES of the character of MANY (hopefully not most) of those who embrace that kind of ideology.

    Aren't they such wonderful people???
