Censorship in Public Schools

Have you been on Myspace or Facebook lately? Ever been on Twitter at all? Hell, have you seen some of the crap posted right here by the barely-legal set?

I can verify this. It is painful for me to read some of my friends' Facebook posts.

That's funny... In my "liberal school system", we had access to many of the books that are on the banned list. By the 9th grade, we already read "To Kill A Mockingbird", "How To Eat Fried Worms", "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn", "Canterbury Tales", "Death Of A Salesman", "Lord Of The Flies" and "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer". To be honest, I'm surprised that "A Hero Ain't Nothing But A Sandwich" isn't on that list... but I'm sure once some pseudo-moral "parent" sees how there's a few swears in it and realize one of the lead characters becomes a drug dealer they'll try to ban that one too.

Funny how some bigoted conservatives, in some desperate need to paint themselves as a "saint" while everyone else is "evil", will try and associate everything liberal as bad. Yes, that means you star...

Seriously...the retardation is reaching a concerning level. According to a recent report from one Canadian university, upwards of 30% of incoming freshmen cannot pass an exam in English language proficiency.

And unfortunately, it's largely the liberal community that seems to be slipping in the education dept. Young liberals have been trained to expect handouts and benefit from public funding, and for the most part, any ambition or goal-seeking has been stripped from them at an early age.

Moreover, the liberal teaching community instills the values of 'entitlements' and 'you deserve this' which is robbing this country of kids that can achieve and make a difference.

It is truly a shame, and it is getting worse by the day.

This has gone form a thread about censorship to a thread that once again shows us that Starimposter, his own best guest, is obviously locked away in an institution somewhere. Reality is not his forte.
