I am not really a new member, but because I am not very active, most people might think I am.

Now, I have just made my mind to change my avatar.

I was impressed by this hunk's physique, but after I had some evidence that he was on steroids, I began to think I had made a poor choice.

So, now, I will be showing a new avatar, that is me, or a portion of me.

I know I can't compare to him, but then again now you will know who you are talking to, if you happen to talk to me, rather than making a wrong idea of what I look like.

I always prefer it when people use pics of themselves as their avatars........(That's me in mine)

This is a most complex question, but I can handle it.

    Are you a logician?

    My answer is "it depends."

Do you know this song by The Beatles (perhaps not of your generation)? The Walrus. An excerpt of it says: "I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together".

If you agree with this, or if you are a Buddhist, then that is the same avatar.

If not, then that is not the same avatar. It is not necessarily a better one, but it is more genuine.

Tardis, I am well, thanks. What about you? I think I want to add you as a friend. By the way, how do you pronounce your username? [ta:dees]? Or are you only going to tell it to me after we become friends?

Industrial, but who are you actually? The embraced ot the embracer? Or are you both just like one?

Davey, thanks for your warm (but not sure if really deserved) words. You, too, come across as someone warm. Never met anyone from Tenerife, but here there are many many people whose ancestors came from The Azores. How far are The Azores from your place?

Sorry, I was not aware of the interval between the first and second avatar. In this case, I may have wasted my English or my Latin, I don't know which. :biggrin1:

I had to consult my best mate google about that one  The Azores are about 1000 miles west of Portugal and we are approximately 1000 miles south and quite close to Africa. The nearest Canary Isle to Africa is I believe Lanzarote at 70 miles from Morocco. So the short answer is we aint really near the Azores
