I bet now your'e sorry you didn't select this month to head over to see what's-her-name.

First your taxes and now snow, what next, no roses for Valentine's Day?

Well, it's not as bad as it may seem. I have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, a big heavy older one, and I drive very conservatively. I lived in a place that got snow, and am accustomed to driving in it.

BTW, I saw what's-her-name last month. It snowed there, too. We were in two countries, and it snowed in both of 'em, as a matter of fact.

No, hon. What you're in for is 3 to 5 inches of climate change. Go, figured.

    Not really.

Think about it. Melting of glaciers... Means more moisture in the atmosphere. The moisture goes up, forms clouds, whisps away and dumps elsewhere in the form of precipitation. Be it snow, ice, rain, hail etc.
The ocean warm currents are slowly moving north too. With it, is the accelerated convection.

I realize HB is being sardonic, but it's disturbing the number of seemingly intelligent people walking around spouting this off in earnest.

Climate has nothing to do with the weather in one particular area...nor the weather today, nor this season, nor even this year. Despite the winter cold in some places right now, the overall average temperature of the globe continues to edge upward.

The white shit is really starting to come down out there. Not a blizzard, but it will be staying with us. Tomorrow night will be when it's dangerous, when this stuff has had a day to melt and then refreeze. I am going out, but I don't look forward to driving around my people. Good thing I can stick to back streets.

    Let's see..................

    It's January.
Which means that it's winter time in the northern hemisphere.
Winter means COLD and SNOW in most parts of the northern hemisphere, DURING WINTER, of which the city of Dallas is not exempt from cold and snow.

And you people are saying that global warming is causing all this when it's SUPPOSED to be happening?!? WTF??

"global warming" is an insufficient term when discussing effects on the weather.

"climate change" is the preferable term, and using it disallows the flat earth types from denying reality by employing the other term
