Hmmm ... let's see: you joined on March 21, apparently just to plug this Yahoo!Group. You have made just two posts: one made on the day you joined to try to entice members to join that site, and a second one today to see if you succeeded. No, I don't like the taste of Spam, so I'll take a pass.

I don't see the problem with coming on to this board and drawing attention to a chatroom on yahoo especially when it's about the same subject.

What if the guy came on here because he really wanted to join the discussion?

Jeeez, you guys should lighten up.

Nice spam song, by the way, jonb.

I now consider myself "qualified" to reply to this. I STUPIDLY went and joined the group..............about 100 absolutely ugly, horrible emails a day.........mostly with the words "ugly skank" in the subject line. Absolutely hideous "group."

Too bad I didn't write it. It's a Monty Python sketch, from which the modern meaning of spam comes. Basically these Vikings keep singing "spam lovely spam wonderful spam". The sketch was short, but it quickly became as famous as lumberjacks and dead parrots. Spam also became a general term for posting the same thing over and over until any hope of meaningful communication is lost.

Along with some of the other seniors here, I've had to eat a ton or so of Spam (and Tongue, etc...) during WWII because that's all we were rationed. I have to say I loved it then and still like it cooked really well done!

Who's Jack Napier?

When money was short Mom would slice Spam, sprinkle it with brown sugar. cover it with canned pineapple chunks and bake it. Covered up the taste nicely.

Ever had it that way?

Hmm, let's see the guy had a link to a free Yahoo Group. Ok. I am a member of many yahoo groups and these days most adult oriented ones are hard to find in searches. I havent joined any new ones in 2 or 3 years. I rather like the Yahoo Groups, so I appreciated this post. Second, yes some people send spam through yahoo Groups, but it is OPTIONAL and your choice to receive the spam. When you signup for any Group it asks if you want to receive emails. I always put No individual Emails. So I have never received one. If I want to read posts there, it works just like this place-You putin your username and password. No big deal.
