Isn't the question really about whether it is alright for someone in a committed relationship to slip over to the other extreme by having a bit of casual sex?

Human beings are imperfect, but most of us grow up with an awareness of the restraints which society places on sexual relations AND, one would hope, also our very own conscience.

If one views sex as entertainment, it would seem that it does not matter who the partner in that sex is.

But, some of us view sex, when it happens, as a wonderful way of confirming the bond that has come to exist between one person and another. Casual sex, sex with no commitment, pales in comparison with the wonderful fantastic sex in a committed relationship.

Wise persons avoid those things which ignore the beauty and mystery of sex, those actions which degrade rather than enhance the dignity of all concerned parties.

A small list would include some sects of christianity, some sects judaism, paganism, wiccans, buddhists... and those aren't the only ones. On top of that, the majority of the rest of the world now a days does. As always, the united states falls behind in progress. Though I have faith it will come to it's senses eventually.

This is why I keep to myself these days. I have friends that fuck anyone they want, it is their charisma. I don't have all that fun stuff so I take my breaks where I can get them.

I have no clue how people do it, relationships seems to be so difficult and often wind up a hot mess. I don't agree with "open relationships" IMO it is just a pass for fucking around with permission. Even then, I know people that have been hurt in open relationships.

You are in a relationship that may be many other things, but is open = Fuck buddy, Friends, Strangers that fucked. Mixing the two is silly if you ask me. And in my view if you are going to get involved with some multiple partner situation, then make damn sure everyone that needs to know does, or no one ever, ever, ever finds out. And the guy will generally get screwed over long before the woman. If you are cheating on someone? Well then just make sure you don't have any illusions about it. i respect peoples religion, im not religious and i have an education, do you? religion should not change there docrine which has lasted 1000's of years too suite some complaining gays. I'm all for civil unions and equal rights just dont try and change institutions that have been around for thousands of years.
