In the only other State that begins with "K"!
So the former Vice President feels he has the moral right to lecture our current President to "stop dithering and do whatever it takes to 'win' the war in Afghanistan. (by increasing troops)" This from a man who had 6 personal deferrments from serving in Vietnam..........and also from a man who served an administration who "dithered" for 7 years after starting the war. It's always convenient to send "somebody else's" kids to die isn't it???? Come on Dick --- just take a vacation and shut up like your boss has done!!!

    He misses his puppet. :frown1:

Actually, I think that the coalition (not just the U.S.) needs to be more forceful in Afghanistan. Canada has had over 100 soldier deaths there, so I don't take this lightly. Afghanistan and Pakistan are the hub of Al Queda and they really need to finally be rutted out. This skirmish, timid warfare is only going to cause more casualties in the long run. I agree with that asshole: the Coalition needs to act now and act decisively and get this shit over with.

Even if nothing is done about Pakistan, which is especially dangerous due to their nukes, if Afghanistan is dealt with then the land bridge between Pakistan (where they are likely more solidified) and Iran will be cut off; they get most of their weapons from Iran.

    and Cheney gets a smackdown:

Retired General Slams Cheney As "Incompetent War Fighter"

.......The only time Cheney and his cabal of foreign policy 'experts' have anything to say is when they feel compelled to protect this failed legacy. While President Obama is tasked with cleaning up the considerable mess they left behind, they continue to defend torture or rewrite a legacy of indifference on Afghanistan. Simply put, Mr. Cheney sees history throughout extremely myopic and partisan eyes.....

"The record is clear: Dick Cheney and the Bush administration were incompetent war fighters. They ignored Afghanistan for 7 years with a crude approach to counter-insurgency warfare best illustrated by: 1. Deny it. 2. Ignore it. 3. Bomb it. While our intelligence agencies called the region the greatest threat to America, the Bush White House under-resourced our military efforts, shifted attention to Iraq, and failed to bring to justice the masterminds of September 11."

    Lol.

I wonder how long until this long-serving US Armed Forces General is attacked for his statement.

Lets not forget all the generic drugs are made in, pakistan for all you who bitch about prescription medicine. All the terroists need to do is get in there and spike the drugs and you have mass genocide.

Lets face it, Obama won't do anything even though the guy he put in charge tells him different. He spends more time trying to censure Fox News then he spends on anything else.

This is awesome. The VP previous to Cheney occupies his entire schedule lecturing everyone on Earth, especially the politicians, on how they should save the world. Not only is the former VP a complete and utter hypocrite but he was a complete flop on his issues while in office. Given this, Cheney is the one who shouldn't be allowed to say anything. Cheney is the one of the most qualified individuals to speak on the subject, but he should shut up because he's criticizing your president; a rank and inexcusable amature.

    Problems with that:

    1) Cheney's deferments were legitimate. Clinton on the other hand wrote a letter to beg his way out of being drafted and he can comment endlessly.
    2) Cheney doesn't have to "shut up" simply because the war wasn't won on his watch. If that was the case Hillary Clinton wouldn't be able to talk about anything, ever. Failure to win doesn't equal failure
    3) Cheney can't choose to send his kids, they get to make their own choices. If politicians only sent their own kids we wouldn't be a country any more. Remember WWII? A democrat sent how many kids that weren't his?
    4) Wouldn't it be great if everyone who criticized the highly criticizable Obama would just shut up? Yeah, that's what we need.
    5) According to your logic you shouldn't criticize anyone. You have no idea what Cheney should do, you aren't Cheney. Until you are Cheney you can't criticize.

The only person who needs to shut up is you.

    Cheney's still delusional.

After all, he's only recently emerged into the sunlight after having spent the last 8 years in an underground concrete bunker.

We should send Cheney over there with a shotgun and tell him that there is quail about. That may just win the war.

So, two weeks ago you asked:

    Today you give us

So, I've often wondered what the right will do without Bill Clinton to keep beating up.

    They'd move to Hillary...
Then back to Pelosi, with a dash of Gore. And then they'd pop the cork on the vintage hate known as Carter.
