Wow, a real argument. I wonder when or if we will get one from the other side. Let's watch...

Still waiting, as usual. I'm betting on a personal attack before a real counterargument.

Typical conversation:

Person 1: "Cheney commented how Obama needs to make a decision about Afghanistan, which is something even Obama's Generals are begging for."

Person 2: "Cheney Evil! Hate Cheney! Die Cheney"

Guess who Person 2 voted for?

GWB and Cheney aren't in charge anymore... so what is BHO doing? Nothing. (Except whine about Fox News)

I say, let Cheney talk. Once all the smoke clears, someone will bring him up on War Crimes and we'll be done with it. By all means, let him defend torture some more. We'll give him as much rope he needs to hang himself.

Hint: there's nothing to argue about here. Nothing.

So, I've often wondered what the right will do without Bill Clinton to keep beating up.
I usually cry myself to sleep at night. I've been trying to drag Clinton into every possible situation I can find. I have a knack for it.

Interesting fact, when 9/11 happened I said that Clinton was going to be entirely eclipsed by Bush. That is true. Now, he has been re-eclipsed by Obama. He should have just resigned and let his wife run it, at least we'd remember him.

Obama record- "saving" millions of jobs, yes I know unemployment is almost twice as much as under Bush but the kool-aide tells me so

Cheney record- no terrorist attack after 9/11

One of these records is tangible, it can actually be felt and quantified while the other cannot.

Cheney does not have to defend "torture" to me. How can liberals in this country have so much love for terrorist and so much hate for Americans.

Cheney wasn't an executive, so this blanket, vague statement is inconsequential.

There have been no terrorist attacks on U.S. soil since Obama's inauguration either. Does this make him a champion of homeland security?

I don't think that conservative people understand causal relationships.

Yet 9/11 happened on his watch when Bush and company were asleep at the wheel or reading children's books.

Spin much?

The answer perhaps has something to do with love of rule of law rather than love of terrorists, no matter how much the right tries to portray it otherwise.

Without a doubt, the most ethically disingenuous argument ever raised about the war. So, we have to be "for torture" in order for us to be "for America"? Wow... does your box of Crayolas have only 2 colors in them?

Can someone please tell me when I can stop being nice to simple minded people? It's hard to smile when you can feel your brain cells going in shell shock after reading such nonsense!!

Joe Biden responds to Dick Cheney. "Who cares?" Go Joe! :biggrin1:

Biden Dismisses Cheney’s Criticisms Over Afghanistan

By PETER BAKER
Published: October 23, 2009

In the latest exchange between old and new administrations, Mr. Biden rebuffed his predecessor’s criticism about President Obama’s handling of Afghanistan as “absolutely wrong.” And Mr. Biden rejected the last review of the war conducted by the White House under former President George W. Bush and Mr. Cheney as “irrelevant.”

The fact that Cheney can walk onto any forum and not be questioned and then not hung, drawn and quartered about the string of disastrous policies of the Bush Administration is simply beyond me. Micheal Vick can't go on the 'Animal Planet' and talk about dog care. The governor of South Carolina won't be on Oprah discussing 'How To Make A Marriage Work'. I get physically ill every time I see him. He is responsible for untold suffering and death.

You can:

  1. Put him on ignore.
  2. Practice your backhanded pimp slap on him.

I vote for the latter. Be sure to wear extra bling.

Must drink kool-aid....must drink kool-aid.....must drink kool-aid

Don't forget the private jet flying, monstrous house living, do nothing while in office world trekker vice president who has a carbon footprint that looks like it's own government agency. He could never go on tv lecturing about limiting the use of carbon emitting fuels. God, what a hypocrite that would be.

I mean, while we're pointing out cognitive dissonance.

America to Cheney "Shut the Fuck Up And Go Back To Your Coffin!"

And Cheney can tout his anti-terrorist credentials all he wants. 9/11 happened on his watch and he can't erase that. Saying nothing happened since then doesn't mean he or Bush prevented anything from happening at all.

The fact is their administration failed to prevent and stop the biggest terrorist attack in human history. That is what they're hoping you'll forget.
