Just wondering because the vibe is different in the two communities. One older and smaller cottages and the other fancier bigger places. I like the quaintness of Cherry Grove. I've only been out a few times and I enjoyed it best one time I went there in June when it wasn't so crowded and you could just see the natural beauty of the place and not be distracted by all the shirtless men.
Earl it's really hard to describe without sounding elitist but I'll try... My first partner owned a home on the bay side of The Pines many years ago and it was considered more upscale and have more professional residents (doctors, lawyers etc). Cherry Grove was considered to be less fabulous in those days with smaller more quaint dwellings owned or rented by non-professionals.... I don't know if this distinction still exists with the people who own or rent property there now.
BTW the entire beach on the Atlantic side is sanctioned as a nude beach in Cherry Grove and The Pines in the other communities it is not.
