It's definitely the drugs that turned him into what he has become. And I seriously doubt he will ever make a true comeback. He's too far gone, sadly. So don't get your hopes up. I know I sound negative but I'm just being honest.

It can if he wants it. But he will have to start by separating himself from the environment and people who enable and support his drug use. That is the first step to recovery. As a recovering addict myself, It was the biggest challenge toward recovery. So he needs to leave his family, friends, and the porn industry. All of these things are means to his end.
