You do realize what the purpose of bumping a thread is, yes?

Just in case you don't, bumping a thread moves it to the top of the forum (hopefully) allowing more views and therefore activity. While I agree that bumping a thread every 10 minutes is pointless, once in a while is actually beneficial.

Bumping is not beneficial at all. If someone has something to add he will find the thread by putting the name in the search bar and after that it will be on the front page again. Bumping will not do anything especially not with someone who is very unlikely to do anything that is worth posting on a regular basis.
