I like all the usual classic Christmas songs that are played endlessly on the radio ever earlier each year. My favorite Christmas song ever is "Silver Bells" My most favorite rendition of a Christmas song is "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" by Judy Garland. My favorite Christmas song with meaning is "Someday at Christmas" by Stevie Wonder.

And then, of course, there's this, the greatest parody of the holiday season and Christmas songs ever: "The Twelve Pains of Christmas"

Here are some of my favorites...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBZ8v9L8444

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GF2BzUDeTkY

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwP91fDaL-Q

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIQj_phNfhk

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4uLZcaRXcU

And something completely different from the above, but I love this too!

I do like my surf instrumentals! Oh yeah!

But my favorite Christmas songs are usually (not always, as evidenced by the Blackmore's Night song above, and of course the Ventures version of "Sleigh Ride", etc.) the really old ones... like from medieval times and the Victorian era.

I recently found out that "Gabriel's Message" (the video I linked to is Sting's version) is a 13th century Basque carol! That makes me like it even more!

my fave christmas song is "have yourself a merry little christmas." it just makes me so happy hearing it during the holidays. other faves of mine are "winter wonderland," "mele kalikimaka" (a hawaiian christmas song), and the japanese version of "o christmas tree," which my sister's preschool teacher, who is japanese, taught her and she taught me when we were kids.

But it isn't a month ago now, so I don't see how that is relevant to getting ready for Christmas now. And the only holiday I can think of between now and Christmas is Thanksgiving, which is primarily an American holiday, and is almost here.
