I can't stand that hellish tune of some little runt singing "All I want for Christmas is...blah blah blah" precocious little shit! Couple that horrid tiddy with "Santa Baby" and by the end of the Holiday's I just want to die!!!!

But hey! Merry Christmas anyway!

I love them all...

Willow and OWO have named some of my most favorites... but when I read the thread this song popped in my head...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C9kDVKOrX4

it is the spirit of Christmas, to me~~
and I really don't care who sings it... everyone that sings it, adds something unique and different.... but I love Ella Fitzgerald and the other oldies that sing this song :)

this is probably my second most favorite:

Merry Christmas, Darling - Karen Carpenter - YouTube

I could listen to these two all day long..

Oh Holy Night is my favorite - for some strange reason I choke up listening to it. I also choke up listening to Ave Maria

Least favorite (I can't stand it) is the Chipmunks singing Christmas (actually singing anything!).

The only one I cannot stand during the season is the one about the kid and the shoes. I turn it off as soon as I here it. It is way too sad for my taste.

What is the thought process that goes into writing that hideous piece? "Hey I've an idea for a Christmas song. It's about a poor kid who can't afford to buy his dying mother a pair of shoes to wear when she dies." Season's Greetings.

Anything by Bing is good also. I know old school.

Agreed. I guess I don't have a particular favorite, but any singer with a good voice and style can usually do Christmas tunes to my liking. I also like good choral arrangements, and baroque sounding instrumental arrangements.

I absolutely can't stand any pop Christmas music!
