Very well said!!

I live in the UK, where - on the whole - parents don't butcher their childrens penises for no good reason. Therefore, all but 2 of my lovers have had their foreskins intact, and I can tell you that I have never had hygiene 'issues' with any of them.

My advice is this... if you want a clean willy, wash!

And here endeth the sermon! lol

Sorry, I realize this is probably inapporpriate or whatever but this post is bull. This has nothing to do with "personal hygeine". You don't need to have part of your dick cut off to "keep it clean". Get a frigging wash cloth.

If this guy actually wants to have this done (which I pesonally feel is a huge not to mention irreversable mistake but hey) and he did the research and understands the consequences, that's fine, it's his decision. But don't tell him it's good for "hygiene". This isn't 1873. People know better now.

Just to touch on the hygiene thing.... I live in the Tropics where it is very humid and in the 90's every day all year long. Within an hour after a shower, the dick already starts to smell. Makes is difficult for spontaneous sex if your partner has a sensitive nose.
I live in the tropics too. It's just a matter of freshening up before sexual pleasure whether someone is cut or uncut. Anyone who is into spontaneous sex should be considerate of whatever way their lover smells as they deliberately put themselves into that situation.

I am cut, and I wish to God that I was uncut. I am angry at my parents for mutilating my penis, and I am not kidding. It really, really bothers me.

Uncut penises do not smell or taste bad. That's just absurd.

The only penises that smell or taste bad are unwashed ones ... whether cut or uncut.

Uncut penises feel much better during intercourse. There isn't as much painful friction. There is more gliding. It's great. Think about it .... there is a reason the foreskin exists. The foreskin exists in nature for a reason. It's analogous to the hood of the clitoris. It keeps the glans smooth, sensitive and moist. The glans is not skin. It is a mucous membrane.

LoveFifteen, try not to be too angry at your parents. Most likely, they acted upon bad advice given by "modern" Medicine and bad information from society. Under those circumstances most anyone can make a bad decision.

Thirdly, a contentious political observation, are there placidity nerves in the foreskin? It seems to me that most of the aggression in the world comes from cultures that routinely circumcise - Muslims, Jews, the US etc.
This gets discussed in Intactivist forums every so often and we always come back to the same thing - for every example of circumcised agressors/oppressors, there's a counter-example of intact agressors/oppressors: the Nazis, the Soviets, the Cultural Revolution, the Conquistadors, the Inquisition, the Crusades, etc.

Idealistic, I know, but perhaps if we stopped routine circumcision we would have a more chilled out, placid and tolerant society? [/color]
Looking at the English-speaking world, you might think so, but there are so many confounding factors - mainly different histories - it would be impossible to prove. Anecdotally, in New Zealand and Australia it used to be almost universal in the 1950s and 60s, and they were very conformist societies, now it's virtually obsolete in NZ and a minority in Oz, and the societies are more laid-back and liberal to match.

Certainly not through "placidity nerves in the foreskin" but maybe just the collective mentality that thinks it's OK/not OK to cut boys' genitals, or maybe cutting babies has an effect on their brains involving their relationship to pain. IF there is any such effect to explain. I know plenty of cut guys who are NOT violent, aggressive, sadistic, etc.
